Brought a custom build into this shop to diagnose a problem after RMAing a motherboard previously. They were able to run a diagnostic, and tell me exactly what was wrong. The service was not same day but it was pretty quick, overall it took a week between diagnosis and swapping out parts. The staff are professional, know what they're doing, and have all the equipment they need to find your problem. They also include a warranty for their labor. Alex was my tech and he handled the whole process as well as I could have asked. There is, however, one very big issue that may be a dealbreaker: the price. For a diagnostic, hour of labor, and 2.5 hours of labor to install a motherboard I brought in, it cost about $450 total. I could have bought an entirely new PC for that kind of money! Mine was more expensive but if you're just a layman bringing your old Dell PC in for repair, I have a very hard time recommending them at these prices. But if you really need files off your drive, I would trust these guys to do it. If you don't mind a remarkably overpriced service, then you'll at least get the problem fixed here over Geek Squad. But you're better off finding a friend or a self-employed tech to help. I can't recommend them unconditionally, but they did solve my problem, so take that for what it's worth.

Alex was fabulous in helping me with my disc that had been eaten by my laptop. He was so friendly :) and didn't make me feel like an idiot. He explained how to keep it from happening again and showed me where to find the disc content, once I installed it properly. They are my "go to" computer experts! Thanks Alex!!!

Had an issue with my business email account. My client email list disappeared on my laptop. I went to multiple computer repair shops and no one could figure it out. Took my laptop to Friendly Computers (dropped in) and Alex stopped what he was doing and ran multiple diagnostic tests. It took him awhile, but he eventually found the problem and got it fixed. I was grateful for his help.

We needed to migrate our email host from GoDaddy to Icloud+. I researched it online and the Apple "how to" instructions were written in confusing computer speak and it was clear to me that I could never accomplish this task. The alternative of taking our computers to the apple store was out of the question. We then searched for someone to come to our house and help us. I called Friendly Computers and Alex came to our house and over a couple of hours accomplished the task. I think even he found it a little harder than he expected and I was very glad that we called him. Our email once again works seamlessly across all of our devices I can recommend Friendly Computer without any reservation and plan to use them when I need help the next time.
