Quite literally the best food I've had in at least a year! Huge portions, amazing food, something for everyone! I went to pick up my rib to take my first bite and all the meat slid off and I was left holding a bare bone 😂 Rib sandwich was PERFECT, cornbread,bmilkshakes, beans n rice, out of this world! AND you are supporting an amazing cause ran by truly inspirational people. Thank you so much!!

I've been wanting to come here for months now and finally had the opportunity to. Tracy greeted me and let me pick a table I'd be sharing with my friends once they arrived. She brought out menus for us, as well as some literature about the restaurant and its mission. Needless to say, I was impressed. We were given ample time to order, and when the fish I had ordered arrived, it was hot, fresh and delicious! The potato salad was great, and the food my friends ordered was really good according to them. I will need to come back when the gumbo and Mac and cheese is back on the menu. Looking forward to trying the red beans and rice, cornbread, collards... yeah, it is worth coming back again! I'm not hungry, but still salivating thinking about it. The pies were amazing!

I was so excited to try this place. I am a huge fan of chicken N more and sole food places in Spokane are very far and in between. First the atmosphere is great. Extremely friendly staff and cute uniforms and a very colorful restaurant with outside dinning available. The place looks amazing. Now for the food. I’ll be honest I didn’t really like it. I mean I’m not going back this restaurant. The bbq Sauce is very sweet and the baked beans taste more like a sweet chili then baked beans. The ribs fall of the bone but the seasoning just ruined it for me. The fried green tomatoes had no taste. The chicken also had zero flavor. The Potato salad was my favorite thing out of the whole meal. You may enjoy the food but for me a Spokane native I don’t have a lot to compare it to as far as soul food. I do wish these guys success and hope they stay strong. Spokane needs a cultured place like this. It’s just not my cup of tea.

Loving this place! Probably the best greens in Spokane. Chicken done perfectly, ribs fall of the bone. Best of all it’s priced well and I love Fresh Soul’s mission to help the East Side Community. Get you some!!

Just heard about this restaurant. Had to try it since not many restaurants cook southern food. Upon arrival, I had the feeling it was going to be great. Boy I was right. Their bbq ribs are mouth watering, fried chicken perfectly done, yummy cornbread, and delicious desserts. You have to try it. The staff is great, reasonable prices and a great cause....for the community 👏

I wanna start by saying I didnt get the complete experience because I ordered via Uber. With that being said here goes my review. Spokane seems to have a lack of Soul Food places so I was excited to try this one, and I am so glad I did. I ordered a 2 Piece Combo Meal and got the Beans and Potato Salad for my sides. I added on an order of the greens for a lil something extra. The food arrived in good shape and still piping hot which made me happy as most food gets cold with delivery. The potato salad was good, even though I am not usually a fan of sweeter tasting potato salads (but im not a jerk so I wont be docking any stars over a personal preference here), the beans were nice and hot and tasted fresh. This was only my second time having collard greens and they were very tasty and filling, and worlds better than the ones I had tried elsewhere. But I have to mention the star of the show here. When I saw on the Uber menu that all the fried chicken is drumsticks I felt kinda humdrum about it... until they arrived. These drums were HUGE and loaded with meat, the only way they would have been bigger is if they were a Turkey Leg. These drums were tender, hot, seasoned and cooked to perfection. I am not exaggerating when I tell you this was the best fried chicken I have had in years. I will be straight up having romantic dreams about this chicken... even writing this review I want more... Eat here, you wont regret it!

I was excited to try the food here and to find out more about the attitude of giving BACK to the community. The meal provided was an EXCELLENT array of FINE Alabama influence cooking I have eaten in years. The greens, tomatoes, sauce, SLAW, and taters were soooooo YUMMY! Meats were succulent, pulled pork ribs perfect. I did make a noisy deal of lapping up all the food. Atmosphere is really down home; Mike and his family and friends do honor to the Kingdom of Christ Jesus. Their soul food is more than chopped meat. Refreshing in all areas of my palate. This is a fine thing happening on 5th Ave! You'll love it.

Thanksgiving dinner meal to go boxes beanie, gloves and a $100 at 10:00 yesterday morning. 100 people got fed another 100+ just got cash. What a noble way to give back to the community. 👍🏻👍🏻
