We were traveling through the area and randomly just searched places for lunch. This place came up and we decided to stop by because the menu selection, prices and the view! We are so happy we stopped! The food was so delicious, the gumbo specifically was to die for. Our waitress was great and of course you can’t beat the amazing view! You have to try and stop by if traveling to NOLA in general.

Came here around lunch while we wait for our swamp tour which starts at 2pm. Had a big breakfast so for the food only ordered alligator sausage appetizer and the soup of the day (corn and crab chowder), both tasted good, worth the price (it’s not expensive less than $10. For entrees expect to pay $16-40 per dish. Appetizers prices are within $8-16. Check menu attached. Wines per glass from $6. Ambiance is good and you have the view of the lake. Staff are friendly and accommodating. We didn’t get the table with the view as most of them were reserved.

Stopped here for dinner after Saints game on our way back to TX…..we always are looking for great food while over in LA ( miss living there). I highly recommend this place…..will prob stop here next game too!!

This place is in a cool location with nice views of the water. The food was good besides the chicken sandwich my daughter ordered. It was gross and when we told them she didn’t like it, they did nothing at all. The piece of chicken was so thick and looked undercooked.

The ambience of this restaurant is very good with a good view of the lake. The food is delicious, and cocktails were fantastic. The service is good, with a few exceptions. I took off a star, secondary to a few menu items being out of stock and not being told until after the order was submitted. Well worth the drive to try this little hideaway.

It was a beautiful day. Great location and nice area. Birthday Party of 9: Food took a while to come out. A few orders were lagging, and one the kitchen forgot. When forgotten order came it was wrong. I ordered mixed seafood platter and my fries were cold. Amount of food for price 👎🏾 Water tastes bad, so order a flavored drink; food was decent. Inside seating area was hot, customers were using menus to cool off. Our server needed help, I'm sure he was doing more than one job. SN. Birthday girl said she had been before and it was good. May be worth a try if smaller party and not on a Saturday after 1pm.

This place is a hidden gem. I had never heard of it until one day, I decided to go see what was down this little tiny road off old US 51. Got to the lake, BAM! Frenier Landing. I’ve eaten here several times but this past time was the best. My girlfriend and I stopped here for cocktails before we went ziplining nearby (see ZipNOLA), and the drinks were fantastic and the bartender really knew her stuff! After we were done with ziplining, we went back for lunch. Only had room for the Imperial Oysters - which might be the best oysters I’ve ever had in my life. They are charbroiled on the half shell, then topped with lump crabmeat and Alfredo Sauce. Wow. They may seem a little pricey at $29.99 a dozen, but they’re worth it! I’ve had a few meals here over the years, and I have never been remotely disappointed. It’s worth the drive. You have beautiful views of the lake, and it’s just a real gem of a location. It’s just a couple miles north of Laplace (be sure not to get on I-55, get off at the Laplace exit closest to New Orleans then take the frontage road until Peavine Lane). Worth it 100%. I look forward to going back soon!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE! decided to stop here after zip lining! Was very impressed with the food and service here. Our server DANA WAS AMAZING!!!!! Give her a raise please. She provided us with amazing service and engaged in fantastic conversation. If I ever come back to Louisiana I will definitely be sure to stop here. I had the BBQ shrimp and it was to die for!!!!
