I am literally writing this review whilst I am eating this food that is inedible. I wish there was an award for a reverse Michelin star. That meaning pretty bad for a restaurant. Or even do not eat here. The first thing wrong is the bartender was our server as well as everyone else’s server. She was swamped and I hope she gets paid accordingly. The martini I got was warm as well as the olives.same with the sidecar that I had ordered. Next the food my party and had ordered was bland and unseasoned. Also we got our entrees before our bread board.Do not get the salad it is just as warm as the drinks and olives. You might get sick from the warm greens and olives and vermouth .With a restaurant on Grand Ave you would think there would be some fight over having a good restaurant. Also, one person on my party was missing the Firecracker slaw whilst I had too much on my tacos. This place is a highly do not go here. I wish I could get my money back or at least a voucher for the other location the only thing this location can do is close because it is that bad.

Wonderful! Our family went for breakfast on the weekend and it was everything we hoped it would be. Atmosphere is cozy - the space is inviting and clean. Service was top-notch as well, but the food was the star of the show. Everything was delicious and made with quality ingredients. They also accommodated a dietary restriction with ease for one member of our party. We somehow resisted the baked goods in the display case, probably because we were so full from our meal, but they looked crazy good! 😁 A++

Adding French Meadow to my list of places to try. The beautiful aroma as I walked in the door was amazing. I’ll be back to this St. Paul restaurant a try. The menu looks appealing and the atmosphere is very inviting.

Nice, relaxed ambiance and pretty quick service. We got the Zen Bowl, the Sweet and Sour Tofu Bowl, and the Tomato Basil Soup; all of the food was fresh, well prepared, and delicious. Both of the bowls had so much depth to the dish and complex flavors- would highly recommend them! We also got Carrot Cake, which was tasty as well. Great place to go for dinner!

This is one of our favorite all-time restaurants in the Twin Cities. They have a wonderful vegan selection. The food is always creative and tasty and the bar has a nice selection. Outdoor patio is a treat during the warm weather. We love that herbs provide foliage around the perimeter. They smell so good and look beautiful!

My cousins and I came here for Labor Day weekend wanting to make a stop for coffee and baked goods before we started our day. We did not plan to dine in so we thought it’d be an in-and-out but WE WERE WRONG! It turned to a 30-45 minute wait for our coffee and our pastries… unimpressed. Customers that ordered after us got served their coffee before us and they even missed a few items for our pastries.

Food - was good, not great for the price. Would I go there again? Yes, but maybe not very often. My wife seemed to enjoy her food more than I did. We got the same main course - braised beef. It cost $30 per. We also ordered desserts from the bakery - triple chocolate cake and a peanut butter rice crispy bar . My wife didn't like either. For me, the cake was okay but the peanut butter rice crispy bar was not. Not sure what was wrong with it. Service - speed was good but they missed a couple soups and had to be reminded a couple times to bring them. Think they would want to trade speed for accuracy, maybe? Atmosphere - somewhat dimly lit which didn't help with reading the menus. While walking into the restaurant I saw the tables on the sidewalk and jokingly said "I wouldn't want to sit out here in this cold weather" but once we were seated, it was so warm inside that my wife commented "maybe we should go sit out there".

French Meadow in Uptown would be straight 5 stars across the board. I have always had a great experience over the years. This time, I went to the St. Paul location for a pick up order. It was the most unpleasant experience. (Noting I've been to the St. Paul local many other times prior and wanted to give it another chance to revive themselves). I stood right in front of the barista station along with several others, waiting for over 20 minutes, making several efforts to get the attention of the staff. That whole time, I was in close proximity to the staff. I could see my food in arms reach. The only reason someone acknowledged my presence was due to a person behind me from Door Dash shouting to get the staff attention. I understand it was busy, and honestly, I wasn't in a rush, so I patiently waited. I felt bad for the long line up of people waiting to be seated as no one even addressed them (not even a simple hello or welcome, or we will be with you). There was so much confusion everywhere. The energy was really chaotic. That being said, French Meadow's food has always been amazing, and they have a lot of gluten-free options. I have been loyal to the restaurant for over 20 yrs but definitely will be skipping the St. Paul location and going back to Uptown for my orders from now on.

We had my son’s 11th birthday party at D1 and Kris and his staff did not disappoint! The kids had such a blast the entire time playing dodgeball, tug of war and football as well as racing each other pushing the sleds. They were all exhausted when
