French Market Grille West - Cajun restaurant in Martinez - 368 Furys Ferry Rd, USA

This was my second visit to this location. The first time, I had the Philly and crawfish bites. Both were delish! This time I decided to order the Philly again, mostly because I don’t eat a lot of seafood very often. Husband got the bone-in ribeye and was disappointed with the lack of seasoning. The steak was also undercooked, but he took it home to doctor up the next day for lunch. The peel and eat shrimp appetizer were perfectly cooked and tasted great. Server seemed distant and lacked eye contact or trying to connect with us at all. We may or may not go back soon to give it another try, based on this experience.

The food was really good. It was not super busy when we arrived, but when we left around 6.pm. there was a line. We had a group of 6, and after we ate and paid, we were patiently waiting because my mom wanted desert to go, and they needed to redo the check. This took maybe all an extra 20 minutes. With that said. I rarely complain or gripe on my reviews. Again, grant you there was a small wait Saturday evening, as we waited for the desert and the check to be redone the Manger must have come to our table at least 4 or 5 times in 15-20 minute time span. We had separate checks, and he grabbed ours and rang it up. The receipt the waitress had taken to redo with the desert he brought back for us to pay Didn't let us explain that the waitress had taken the receipt to add the dessert. As we were getting up to leave, here comes the manager again to thank us for coming. And followed us to the door. The reason I bring this up is because this poor customer service, and we have never had poor customers, and we come here often. I'm giving customer service a 3 because our waitress did a very good job considering how busy the restaurant was getting as the evening progressed Atmosphere 4 Food 5 Price Point 5 Customer Service 3

Food was tasty. Side salads were bare but at least the lettuce was fresh and crisp. Very little side options. Bread was good and hot. Drinks were nice and strong. Our waiter was attentive.

I had the lunch special- Lousiana sampler plate. It had 2 Chili peppers on the menu. Best food in the area! The bread was great! The waiter Brian was fantastic. The bread pudding was fantastic! Don't forget they sell Sushi on the evening menu!

Cool restaurant! Been on my To-Try list for awhile. I was confused about their closing hours. They apparently close once everyone is done eating so try not to go too late.. I tried crepes Louisiana and it was delicious! Would definitely come here again!

Shrimp were fried to perfection but lacked spices or creole taste. The hand cut French fries and remoulade sauce were superb. Friendly staff and very clean.

Love this place!! Everything is great from the sushi to dessert. The staff even went out of their way to help me buy a surprise pie for my parents anniversary when they were there.

Great Louisiana foods for lunch in the Martinez-Evans area. We had the seafood pasta & the crawfish pie, served with bread & salad. Excellent. Their bread pudding is second to none. The sauce is heavenly.
