I've been here a couple times now and it's been the perfect treat. I've gotten their mini ice cream scoops and a variety of their chocolates. I tried the salted caramel ice cream on my first visit and the seasonal peppermint bark on my most recent trip. I also got a box of their assorted chocolates - chocolate orange, cinnamon cayenne, champagne, peppermint, etc. The chocolates are pricy, but worth it. There's been a bit of a line each time I've come, but I can definitely understand why. They have ample seating by the windows, a couple of lounge areas, and more tables in the back, so plenty of options. It's been nice to enjoy my ice cream and then get a little reading done in the back lounge area. I would love to take a tour of their factory a few miles down the road one day too. I'd definitely recommend the lounge though to anyone with sweet tooth!
This place is amazing! Very busy on the weekend but worth it. If you love chocolate, tea, or ice cream this is the place to go. I got the liquid truffle and it was the perfect size cup of warm thick chocolate. I also got the triple chocolate mousse. It was heavenly. I'm very impressed.
Very cute place with lots of seating options. I loved the golden milk ice cream, seriously, I want more but I live 2+ hours away. Their chocolate bars are high quality and I also tried the rose cardamom bon bon which was good... But that ice cream!!
Think you can handle all the chocolate? Give it a try. You won't be disappointed, but you might just realize that there might be such a thing as too much chocolate after all. They take the chocolate and turn it up to 11 on every snack, drink, and treat. 11- all the time every time. I had some very good dishes , but some drinks, were too over the top. The chocolate torte was my favorite.
I was drawn to this fancy-looking, cute cake/ice cream place when visiting Asheville. The ambiance is quite chic, but unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. The chocolate cake was too rich and sweet, and it felt heavy after a couple of bites. The ice cream was good and helped cut the sweetness of the cake. The service was quick, but due to the long lines, I felt quite rushed when placing my order. Additionally, the pricing was a bit expensive.
It’s a cute place with very good chocolate and coffee! But it’s not the best I’ve ever had, so I don’t get why so many people wait in a line to get their stuff. The service is slow and some pastries are tough, as if they were a little old.
I'm a huge foodie - especially when it comes to desserts. Of all the bakeries, chocalatiers, coffee and dessert shops I've been to - Chocolate Lounge absolutely blows them all out of the water. We had to make TWO visits there, and will be back every time we come to town. Each item has been carefully crafted - the flavors and textures painstakingly perfected. The golden milk ice cream, salted caramel & chocolate tart, and salted caramel cake were particularly noteworthy. The cookie wedges were beyond any usual chocolate chip cookie, the texture was absolutely perfect - crispy outside but still retaining that chewy element we all love, with an elevated twist of cacao nibs that just worked so dang well. Do yourself a favor and hit 'directions' on the google listing right now. You won't regret it.
We loved this place so much we stopped in twice. The ice cream was top quality. The Cubanos with cream and smoked salt on top were awesome! They had a huge selection of miniature chocolate truffles, as well as larger dessert slices to choose from. Plenty of lounge space and couches too. Highly recommend.

Canât believe I just found this hidden gem not far off of Thompson Street! One of the few coffee shops open at 7 am with a variety of coffee/espresso based drinks, hot cocoa bar, and breakfast tacos. Got a dirty chai and egg/cheese burrito - both
