Took the conceal and carry class. Instructor Stephanie was phenomenal. She had enough experience and energy to keep the 2 days lively and interesting. I would take a course with her any day. The training facility was accessible and clean. It was in the process of being painted but that did not hinder the classroom instruction. The shooting range was great. The instructor and staff made sure safety was number one. I had some issues with loading a magazine and Josh helped, and then brought over a speed loader to reload the magazines. I plan to take some personal training and another class soon. Highly recommend!

1.5-hour confidence building personal lesson is worth every penny! It was great being at the range without the distraction of other shooting going on. Having someone review the basics, then look at how you are performing the basics, then checking the quality of your gun maintenance on both of your weapons was a blessing. I hadn't been to the range in over a year and was very happy to have personal attention on my shooting from an instructor like Stephanie. So supportive and encouraging, I'm looking forward to attending the She-shooters several times in the next year when I can.

Had an excellent experience at this range yesterday. I called ahead of time, my Q's were answered. We arrived and were greeted right away, and were given instructions on what to do since it was our 1st time. Everyone was very professional, and the pricing was great, as well as the ammo being reasonably priced. Great staff, who assisted us from beginning to end. We will be back again soon ❤️😊

The range provided a good selection of firearms, and the price for the experience was reasonable. The 20-gauge shotgun offered a satisfying kick and was a thrilling choice for target shooting. The VP9 handgun was comfortable to handle and had a smooth trigger pull. The staff at the gun range were friendly, knowledgeable, and ensured a safe environment.

Stumbled across this place after planning a trip to Maryland for my 23rd birthday and needing a last minute thing to do. Let me tell you, I have always been a person who was afraid of guns and wanted to overcome this fear in my new year. I was greeted by such a friendly staff who eased my nerves. Joey especially made me feel very confident behind a gun as he was very thorough in his training. I could not have asked for a better instructor. By the time I left , not only was I glad that I overcame my fear but I also felt like I learned so much in the little time I was there.

I had a private lesson with Patrick with a view of feeling more confident and consistent with my smaller carry weapon. We did some dry fire exercises and he immediately made some small but hugely effective adjustments. We then progressed to the range and within the first 10 rounds I was shocked at the improvement vs my groupings shooting prior solo. Patrick is a clear communicator, highly knowledgeable and easily helps you focus and relax. My only regret is not doing this sooner! Looking forward to continuing my skills development with Patrick.

Where can I begin. My experience with FreeState gun range has been nothing short of incredible. I started my journey into the firearm world/community in 2021 when I came here with my brother to shoot for the first time and have been coming here ever since. They are without a doubt the friendliest gun range I have ever been to. Every single employee cares and makes sure that your needs are met. I took my HQL, Holster draw, CCW and Home invasion course here with Joshua and he made all four of those classes not only informative and extremely knowledgeable, but they were fun and engaging too. Andre and Nigel helped me choose my first handgun, and the ones following it. Kyle and Malik have always consistently been a welcoming force every time I come in to train on the range and engage in some friendly conversations. Kyle has even personally assisted me in choosing accessories for most of options(which is good since most of my own choices are questionable) Tony has been a Godsend in all of my law oriented queries, and FFL matters and I've learned so much from every single interaction with him. Beth and Susan have assisted me in answering more questions than I can even remember and overall the entire staff here is incredible. Thank you all for everything you've done and continue to for both myself and the community. This is how you run a welcoming gun store/range that will ensure more people not only become aware of their rights but the best way to go around practicing them with the help of well informed and trained personnel who help anyone no matter how unfamiliar with the firearm world with whatever they need. I took a private lesson with Stephanie because I had zero experience with firearms of any kind and I was quite uncomfortable thinking about using it. She brought me in at a time when it was closed, and no one else was there, so that I had no distractions. I chose her in the first place because she conducted the HQL Class that I took, and I liked her teaching technique a lot! For our private lesson, she went over everything that I should need to know before I shot for the first time. Then she took me into the range area to shoot. I was very nervous, but Stephanie quickly put me at ease and made me feel more comfortable. She went over how I did And showed me different things with each set of rounds I shot. I left there feeling very good about myself, and very good about everything she showed and taught me! I am actually going to be scheduling a second Private lesson with her very soon, and I plan on joining her she-shooters group In the near future!
