Fantastic visit! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Most of the birds are out or you can open their cages, super fun to interact with. Definitely should stop by if you’re in the area

My husband and I really enjoyed our visit! It was nice to learn about the birds and see all different kinds. We loved interacting with the birds and feeding them. If you are in the area definitely recommend checking it out.

Fantastic bird sanctuary with very knowledgeable and loving staff and volunteers. The birds are incredibly beautiful and they all want your attention! Coming here will calm your heart and relax your mind. It’s a fantastic way to spend an hour or two and learn something new.

Super fun experience! I totally recommend and is very affordable to do. You get to feed the birds and fish. The employees are very nice and guide you on the do’s and don’ts as well.

One of their birds is a large African bird (not a parrot, may have been a secretary bird) in a small enclosure that would be likely be better taken care of in a zoo setting instead of a exotic bird / parrot sanctuary. One of the staff members confided this to me when I was visiting and I agree. They said the owner is emotionally attached to the animal and that is why bringing it to a larger enclosure that a zoo could provide has not been explored. Otherwise, the place is lovely and educational. I learned why parrots shouldn’t be made pets as they are wild animals that need as much stimulation and freedom to explore as a two year old.

Four of us, one with a walker, had a marvelous time. So many happy, well adjusted birds!! Saw the staff work with a new, shy parrot whose family was on vacation. Once on the young man's finger he enjoyed a head rub. The staff was so attentive to the birds and visitors. Visitors were all respectful of the rules and, due to the easy on line appointment process, it was not crowded. No stress for the birds or us. Just a delightful time. I really enjoyed the koi pond. Food for the birds and koi were included in the admission price.. just $8 dollars per person. We were given a special food holder so had no fear of feeding the birds... And the birds did not fear strange fingers coming close to them. And we met a very dedicated volunteer who was kept knowledgeable by the staff. Great time.

AMAZING!!! Awesome, wonderful!! You can tell these people are extremely knowledgeable on bird care and behavior! As someone who is very bird-obsessed, going here was a dream come true! The birds were SO CUTE!!!! I was really pleased that, even as a visitor who couldn't interact with them with my hands (you need a membership (reasonably priced!) and training on how to handle them before you can do so), you are given a bowl with some chop (a freshly-chopped vegetable mix) for the birds to hop onto (if they wish) & it was sooo cute being able to feed them! Great birds. Super cute. I adored them all. I hope they get good homes :) but I know that they are well-taken-care-of here at FreeFlight. Great staff. Very kind and cool!
