While dining at Peaceful Valley Farm, we met Anna and Brenda, both diners and worked at Free Dog Wines. They recommended a visit there so we did. We were met by Rueben and later Autumn, too great hosts. We purchased 3 different wines and then I returned today to purchased 3 bottles of bourbon barrel Merlot 2020. This in my opinion was the best of all their wines. Will be ordering again soon.

Hi, I am a 34-year-old Hispanic woman who has lived in Idaho all my life, Sunny Slope being my first home. I stopped at Free Dog Winery yesterday afternoon, 10/29/23, and was told if we were dining in for the four complementary wine tastings; we said sure (4 Hispanic women)—the lady who was wearing black eyeliner with a hair bandana seated us in the back. There was a lot of open seating. We were the second group in the winery, including two other white females who were not in our group. We sat down and were given four tokens each to use for the tastings. The servers were pleasant and polite; however, we had to get up to get the tastings. No one was serving anyone (I still don't understand the tip thing when it comes to these kinds of things). Anyways, it was time for us to leave, and we started to gather our items; this was when the lady in her late 60s with the black eyeliner and bandana approached us and told us, "ok, now it's time to thank your servers" I stated we don't have any cash and no one served us technically, but the lady wasn't understanding, we again stated we only have a credit/ debit card and we asked if they take card, she proceeded to say " no we do not" we found that odd due to buying previous times and using card only (who carries cash nowadays). We said next time, we know, and we will bring some money, and we proceeded to walk towards the door to leave; she followed us to the door, then once we were already in the car, she ran out of the winery to our vehicle while it was in reverse and yelled at us about coming and not tipping nor buying anything, we said we have credit/debit card we can pay with. Still, she said no, we don't accept cards; her approach was rude and racist because when she was at the window, she stated, "You people just come and never pay." we looked at her and said, excuse me, those were complementary. She spoke to us as if we had committed a crime and accused us of drinking large amounts of wine when the pours are just to taste and they are measured. Then she dared to ask if we work/have jobs; we said yes, we all have jobs, and all of us have degrees (from masters to Ph. D.s), but she didn't seem to care that we had jobs, just that we were "those people" it was apparent we were Hispanic we spoke Spanish in the winery because we can, I found the whole ordeal rude, disrespectful, and racists. They have lost several customers due to this behavior. My profession is behavior, and she needs help; I hope she can find someone or classes that can help with her anger. Maybe she was having a bad, I don't know, but her reaction and approach were uncalled for, and I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I have been a member for several years. Rubin was supposed to let me know when the bourbon barrel chardonnay was low. Went today to get my order and found out they were out. No notice to let me know. The old managers would never let me down like this.

Beautiful tasting room, it used to be an old fruit shed. They do 6 tastings for free. They had 4 whites, 4 reds and 2 desert wines to choose from. We visited on Black Friday. It was very busy and they were doing a barrel tasting for $5 and they also had free soup and rolls for everyone. This was the only one of the 4 we visited that day that had crackers for between the different wines.

great place! super welcoming, generous pours, not to mention the selection of wines, which are reasonably priced.

The wines were superb. The hospitality was first-rate. On top of that Fujishin is one of the few wineries that does not charge a tasting fee. For anyone planning a winery tour, Fujishin should be on the list. And they are the easiest to get to - right on the highway.

What a fun and charming place! Enjoyed the wines, some live music and amazing BBQ the other day! The Malbec was the smoothest I’ve had.

This place has the best food. It is packed full of flavor and it won't disappoint. There are a TON of vegan options as well. The soups are all homemade. I had a delicious salad with an apple butter vinaigrette.

Nice short hike/climb. Steep trail. Used main trail that goes in back. A shorter trail in front looked too steep. If you go to the top there is cliff edge. I like to be 6 feet away from edges. View is good from front of top, getting there puts you 3
