Fred's Steakhouse & Saloon - Steak house in Altus - 2011 N Main St, USA

First time here. Ordered take out. It was for us just okay nothing spectacular. Most items were really under whelming. Not really sure how much is homemade though. The 10-oz steak and shrimp. I think there were barely 3 shrimp and 1 tablespoon of rice. The steak was very thin and not what a steak really should be. The chicken fried steak was bland. Ordered wings with extra sauce but somehow the extra sauce never made it into the order. The Okra, corn fritters, fried pickles and fried mushrooms were NOT hand battered and fried. The chocolate cake, pecan pie & tres leches cakes were just cakes, it was one of the saltiest pecan pies I have ever tasted. The chicken fried steak is offered at a great price, we actually did have to do a double take on that. The steak dinners are overpriced for what you get. For the amount of money that was spent on this order we expected just a bit more.

The prices here are insanely good. A party of 6 barely over 50 dollars and we walked away with full bellies and delicious memories of chicken fried steak. I loved their fried okra- it was so hot and fresh, and had just the right crispness. Everyone loved what they got- the chips and white queso were awesome. I couldn’t even believe my chicken fried steak dinner was only 5.99! This was a great place to eat with my family.

I love it. Very friendly fast staff. The means are great and very inexpensive. Unbelievable prices. Chicjen fried steak with one side n delicious soft yummy roll with honey only $5.99. These are 1980's prices. The food and service was excellent.

This is in Altus, Oklahoma. This place was off the charts. The food was amazing, the service was fast, and food was cheap. My only hitch was that they were out of Dr. Pepper and Root Beer.

Great place to eat f,friendly and professional staff excellent food very reasonable prices and big portions. Was down in the area hunting and this was our diner headquarters can't wait to return

Had a huge number of people show up after a viewing, and they accommodated us. Customer service was great. Waitress was outstanding and didn't miss one single person. I wish I had caught her name, but she was young and had short hair. Very pleasant . The food was great and the prices were great. 09/05/2023

I had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich it was really good. I also noticed that the sandwich was better than the deluxe spicy chicken sandwich at chic fa la and mine came with more vegetables besides just lettuce. And It was a bigger sandwich for three dollars less with better service. I'll be going back.

This was first visit. I went with my daughter and granddaughter for some girl time. My daughter suggested it for the chicken fried steak. We each had one and I was glad she suggested it. My granddaughter had a mushroom swiss burger and we also had corn nuggets and fried pickles. The food was great, price was great, friendly service, clean and relaxed atmosphere. The sorn nuggets are a must have. We will definitely be repeat customers.
