Frederick Motel - Motel in Fredericksburg - 1308 E Main St, USA

In Hill country, their are numerous places to stay. I know this because my husband and I venture out there 3 to 4 times a year to Texas Hillcountry. On this particular stay, we only needed to stay one night and it is hard to spend $140 or more for one night. The Frederick Motel came up in a search. On booking.com. I recognized the outside because we had passed it many times on our visits. Looks like a motel that froze in time along with the outside signage. The room is small but everything we need mini iron mini coffee maker. Comfy bed, two small end tables 2 overhead lights, a small couch and a quaint table for two. The bathroom was very vintage style, it had such charm from the tile to the doors to the rustic door knob and the old original windows painted shut. We stayed on a Saturday night at the beginning of August. We paid under $100. But with research it shows that they do have slightly higher prices come the fall seasons, which is very big and Hillcountry because the views are amazing. The weather is so enjoyable and the people in Fredrickburg are very friendly. We will definitely be staying there again because it is literally a two minute drive to hit the shops that start on Main Street. FYI, you can drink and shop and walk down the streets in Fredericksburg but do not J walk or you are looking at a hefty fine.

Great “motel”! If you’re looking for something unique, quiet, easy check in, clean & affordable.. this place is it! We sat outside & enjoyed the court yard while we had our cigars. The weather was pleasant & everything was peaceful. We spent the entire day exploring the area & it was nice have a comfortable bed & a cold room for the evening. The mini fridge & microwave was a great bonus.

Paid $250 for a one night stay. Total ripoff, should have been less than half of that at most, very disappointed. Would never stay there again. Bed was very hard. They don't have regular tv, you have to bring your own app. Boutique it is not. Just a worn down old building that needs to be put down...

This was a one night stay for me and it was so overpriced for what you get. I would have overlooked some things but for close to $150 a night I felt a bit ripped off. Let me start with the Pros: Location was convenient for my needs and the room had nice bath products and gourmet coffee. The fridge worked and the shower got hot. The bed was just OK but a little too firm for my needs but it seemed clean and the pillows were comfortable. The decor was cute too. The cons: The rooms are small and have a lot of windows. The way they are set up the bed needs to be right up against a cold window. It was 20 degrees the night I stayed so I was pretty uncomfortable with my head against the drafty windows. The cleaning crews need to dust the window sills because all them were dusty with dead bugs, not really something you want to sleep against. Since it was so cold I had to run the heater which worked well and heated the room but even on the lowest setting the fan blasts on the bed, making difficult to sleep. I had to keep turning off the unit just to get some rest because it was bothering me. That is when I noticed at 3:30 am after I turned off the heater,that was working as a sort of white noise, that there is a lot of road noise and a Whataburger across the street where someone was blasting rap music with heavy bass from their car. It was shaking the room and went on for 45 min. So there is not much sound isolation and the walls are thin. I left feeling exhausted and had a rough night of sleep. The next morning when I had a closer look around the room there were a lot of dead bugs and a hole in the wall and the toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall. I read on another review how the hotel may have a termite problem which I did see some evidence of. I stayed in room 1 and had a lot of luggage and music equipment with me that I needed to bring into the room and the pathway to get there was not super convenient and a little awkward. I would not stay here again.

Joli petit motel rénové à 5 minutes du centre ville, dans la rue principale. Chambre simple, propre, avec une bonne literie. Manque juste de quoi poser ses affaires de toilettes dans la salle de bains. Arrivée autonome avec un code et numéro de la chambre reçus par email. Une petite table et des chaises pour prendre le petit déjeuner devant la chambre ou dans le jardin.
