Freddie's Cafe - Chinese restaurant in Auburndale - 569 Berkley Rd, USA

This is definitely a grab and go type Chinese food. We just moved to Winter Haven from Lakeland and have been looking for a decent Chinese place. It is cleaner than most and has good service. It’s decent Chinese food, it’s hot and fresh. They have tofu and veggie options and we feel like for the price we received a fair portion. I had to give it four stars because compared to our usual place in Lakeland they come in second. We will be ordering again and plan to make them our go to for Chinese. They do have an extensive menu and fast service. People complaining about prices in previous reviews, obviously have not been in a grocery store lately! It is what is people! Go find less. We don’t eat out all the time like most, so spending a little extra is ok. Businesses are allowed to make money. We will be ordering again.

Food was ok. Have bought from them before, and just like almost everywhere else prices are higher and portions are smaller. The lunch pepper steak was not worth it. Paid for a lot of white rice🙃

I have never been so sick as I was after eating here. The food was mediocre at best, the lady at the counter was standoffish, but the multi-day foodborne illness was the deal breaker. I am never eating here again and I advise others not to as well.

Normally day one at a new address I have to try the local chineese restaurant out. I didn't do that this time. To be honest at first I did not realize it was a chineese with it being a Cafe. Tonight was the night I was going to try Cafe style Chinese food. Boy o Boy it was a good choice. I would have never guessed this was a chineese restaurant if ya'll hadn't mentioned it. I'll definitely be trying out their other dishes. Yes the empty space does make it feel like you're walking in to the wrong place. I did a double take when I walked in. But the cashier assured me I walked in to the right place for my food. 😃

Great food and service. Not the best atmosphere.

The person I just spoke with 07-12 7:20 pm rude as heck. Simply ask her what container the food comes it, if it it's plastic containers or regular Chinese box and she is annoyed and rude about it. I just needed to know to average how much food I should order. I always pass this place and wated to try it but they just lost my business and my family's.
