I got to my room and left immediately. First of all, it smelled absolutely disgusting like mold, mice, and urine. There were water stains on the ceiling and bed, mold on the tub, and bumps underneath the carpet and on the mattress. There also yellow stains on the bed sheets. I went to the front desk to tell them I wouldn’t be staying there. They seemed surprised, and getting refunded has been a nightmare even though I didn’t stay here a single night. I cannot emphasize how absolutely disgusting this place is and I do not know how they are still open. Health inspector needs to check this place out. Luckily I was able to book a place nearby that same night. Immediately took a shower when I got to my new place because I felt disgusting just stepping in that room. DO NOT BOOK. It’s not even like it’s inexpensive also. $400 for 3 nights in a gross room? I would be safer and happier sleeping in my car.
Located in the center of Flume Gorge and Loon mountain. This place is a short drive to the market and dining. The room was clean and had the basic amenities. Though the lighting in the room was low and some of the lights were not working. It can get booked early though you could get last minute booking discounts. They have a stream flowing in the back with access points. Though there is a lot to explore around the area, I wouldn't recommend spending much time in the motel. All the places have online booking, so plan in advance. Tickets get sold out fast. Nothing much in the walking distance. Take your car to the nearby town for all your needs.
We really enjoyed our stay! Our cabin consisted of two bedrooms with adjoining bathroom and screened in porch with table and chairs. The cabin was clean and quiet. The location on the Pemigewasset River was perfect
Positive: The location was perfect. Enjoyed the stream side picnic area. The room has everything we needed. Thanks Negative: ""
When you do a search for this motel, it shows the "average price" as $68 / night. Not sure when that was but i was charged $205.60 this past Saturday night. It's a lot for this type of room. ||It's dark and most definitely, "basic" at best. I was actually a little embarrassed to bring my travel partner into the room - since I was responsible for finding the hotel. The shower didn't drain so, by the time I was finished, I was standing in a couple inches of water. ||Convenient to town, yes. Clean enough, yes. Microwave and small fridge. Had I paid $100 for this room, I would have been okay with it. Premium price for a basic outdated room that really could use a remake and a new mattress? Not so much.
I would make this a last resort on the list. I've been going up in this area for thirty yrs plus. I figured I'd give it a try because it was the only place with a one night stay. Don't want to just all the wrongs going on there, just don't stay!!
DO NOT BOOK!! This was by far the most disgusting place we've ever stayed. It was unclean, dusty and sticky EVERYWHERE. The price was so outrageous I was sure that we were getting a room like the ones pictured. The pictures online DO NOT represent the nastiness of this place. I don't know where to start; There's an outlet that was partially melted, cobwebs and dust in every corner of the walls, ceiling and floor, the heater buttons and tv remote were sticky to the touch. The bathroom faucet dripped all night long, the shower curtain is moldy, the hair dryer is sticky and gross. The bed was very old and noisy, uncomfortable and didn't feel clean. I took dozens of pictures of this nightmare, anyone who wants to see for themselves let me know! Giant waste of $200+
DO NOT GO HERE. I get that it is cheaper than a lot of hotel/motel around here, but there's a reason why. Dirty sheets with yellow stain. There are mice crawling between the walls at night. Lastly, the tub does not drain. I had to shower while standing in dirty water. Additionally, my biggest warning about this place is that they charged me an additional 150 for pet cleanup when I DID NOT HAVE PETS! Called the owner to discuss it, and he just kept accusing me that I had a pet. I can understand policy and confusion in this matter, but this situation was handled very poorly by the owner. Anyways, long story short, pay the extra 25 or so bucks for the other hotel/motel close by. I should of known when I saw that the parking lot was completely empty while other lodging businesses around there was full. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!
My wife and I came here with our 3 year old and we were very comfortable on our 4 nights stay. The self checking may seem weird to some but honestly, we had no issue with it. The room is clean. Loved the fact we had a small kitchen with actual cook t
This is a stunning lake that has multiple trails associated with this area. The weather can be unpredictable, so wear the appropriate footwear and pack warm clothes!
Alpine Adventures is definitely a MUST DO when visiting the White Mountain area. The zip lines are thrilling and offer the chance to do something out of the ordinary and bring some excitement to your life. It's not quite as daring as skydiving (which
Update: Oct â23 Went back during foliage season. Gets crowded with visitors and overflow parking is beside the road(hazard especially from a sharp curve) view for me is not as beautiful as those with the unofficial pullovers. Aug â23 Just at the
We came here on a Saturday with my husband's family (there were a lot of us) There was hardly any wait to get our tickets & hands stamped. We spent from opening time till late afternoon here. It was so much fun. From the bear show, to Segways & you c
