Francisco's Country Kitchen - American restaurant in Arroyo Grande - 1488 E Grand Ave, USA

A good old country kitchen feel here. Was crowded when I visited, but that's to be expected in most places on Sunday morning. We opted to sit outside in the enclosed patio. It was cold and rainy morning out, so they turned on the heater and it was great. We had the place all to ourselves for most of the time. Friendly and food was good! Good portions.

Nice place in a good location. Business was slow, with only one customer in the whole place when we walked in. We got 3 orders of waffles to go, which were more soggy than crispy. We did get a whole cup of syrup on the side, which was nice. The waitress seemed annoyed at something, which stuck with me afterwards, but I would consider giving this place another chance & updating my review.

When we travel we always try to find local non-franchise places to eat, Francisco’s didn’t disappoint. They have a variety of dishes that cover what ever you’re craving for breakfast. The prices are bit high but the portions make it all worth it. Breakfast along with good cup of coffee, Francisco’s is the the place!

Hostess was helpful, very polite. Food was very yummy! Server was ok, not exactly friendly but not rude. Place was clean and welcoming.

So nice to sit down INSIDE a restaurant again! Things are different, but no big deal. My waitress, Candy, was excellent. I could tell, beneath her mask, she was smiling all the time. So helpful and just attentive enough. She gave great service and I wish I could have tipped with a $100 bill. For breakfast I normally stay away from "skillets" or "scrambles" finding them a mess unsuitable for a dog's breakfast. But today, with Candy's encouragement, I ordered their Potato Skillet. Potatoes, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, ham (or bacon or sausage), and cheese served in a skillet. I added two eggs and a biscuit with gravy on the side. (Yes, I was hungry). So good. Generous portion, steaming hot, good balance of each ingredient. As picky as I am about eggs, these were cooked perfectly. The only downer was the biscuit. Still not the light, fluffy, mouthwatering biscuit I'm searching for. This one was OK, but reminded me of the Bisquick recipe. Gravy was spot on. Flavorful and not too greasy or floury. Parking is easy in their new location at the shopping center on Grand Avenue. Open 6am to 830pm. Serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with specials changing daily. Also a Senior's menu.

The hash browns were over cooked couldn’t eat even if I mixed together with omelet. Called the store and the guy on the phone told me they are still edible didn’t understand one thing I was saying

I have been wanting to go here for a while. But unfortunately it is just average breakfast. Biscuits where hard gravy was barely warm. In a county with Great breakfast spots. Francisco's fell short.

Food served hot, lots of it!, and staff friendly, efficient, and helpful. Even though they charge to use a credit card (which most restaurants in our area do not) it’s still a value.
