My grandkids and I had a great time just talking, hanging out and playing. It's a very nice park. Eating some delicious ice cream. Overall, it was a beautiful day.
Cute shaded park with lots of pay equipment. Only down fall, no bathrooms
Nice park on a hill with a playground. Lots of open grass, but about a third of it will be on a steep slope.
Has shaded picnic tables.
Biggest con is that a sizable portion of the grass was dead when we last went.
This park was named after Francisco J. Delgado; a World War II hero and recipient of the Air Medal.
Frank served in the U.S. Army Air Force and flew 49 combat missions.
As a gunner in a B-24 Liberator flying over the Ploiesti Oil Fields the plane caught fire and was destroyed but not before saving four of the crew. Frank went down with the plane along with Harold Storch. They are both buried in Point Loma National Cemetery in San Diego, California. Staff Sargent Frank J. Delgado was survived by his parents Clara Mellado Delgado and Sixto Delgado, brothers Alex, Andres, David, Robert, and Sisters Concha Delgado Baca, Elisa Delgado Gomez, and Dolores Delgado, and Nephews Ernest Gomez, Ricky Gomez, and Fred Gomez, and Nieces Belia Baca, Carmen Baca, Gloria Delgado, and Irma Delgado. Information provided by the Gutierrez Family, Carlos and Carmen Baca Gutierrez.
This is a surprisingly large park with a playground and a few shaded picnic areas. The surrounding neighborhood is decent. People really need to clean up after their dogs though. There's a lot of land mines near the path in the park.
Overall beautiful Park lacking restrooms came here with my daughter's for Easter as the church and other organization's put together a Easter hunt for the kids my daughter's where given a flyer at school never really knew about this park glad I was able to enjoy Easter at a beautiful park
Overall Clean park except for the usual surprises left hidden in the grass by dog loving goers. Playground area and equipment were in good order and park felt overall safe.
Great, big, park! Nice completely covered playground. Lots of space to just run and play!

What a nice park, the name says it all. A hidden gem in the middle of an older neighborhood. Very well shaded playground with the exception of the swing set. Many trees to provide a nice shade for a picnic. A water park for the kids to enjoy(currentl
Love this park. It's an unofficial dog park, but most people do pick up after their dogs. Be warned, it's not entirely fenced in. Dogs should have 100% recall at a dog park anyway, but especially so here as there's busy Stanton St at the corner. It d

We weren't actually in the arroyo, we were walking alongside it doing the Scenic Sundays scenic drive walk as we do every week. It's just a fantastic way to spend a Sunday morning chatting with neighbors and getting some exercise with my dogs.
