Fragrance Lake Trailhead - Park in Bellingham - 291 WA-11, USA

Took this trail to go to, Fragrance Lake Overlook. Hike took about 30 min one way. Not a hike for beginners, but intermediate. Really loved it!

Nice hike! Lots of places to rest, and the trail goes all the way around the lake. Don't miss the view point!

What a pristine kept area for hiking. They've done an amazing job keeping this lake as it was 100 years ago. I've been coming here since I was born. Back when I was a kid it was an extreme popular trout fishing lake. I suggest parking at the more secure lot near the ranger station. Always active and gives me a piece of mind. After being away traveling over the years I really wanted to take a gander at fragrance lake. I suggest taking the gravel road to the final trailhead if you're looking for a more moderate hike although I feel like it's a longer route. I prefer to take the interurban trail down to the original trailhead that not only leads you to an epic viewpoint to detour to, but also much more to look at amd embrace the beauty of the PNW

One of the best hikes within 1.5hr drive from Seattle. The trails are wide, well maintained, and quite gentle- excellent for people with some knee issues like myself. If you don’t have a pass for parking, you can pay onsite. It takes about 4hr hike round trip.

Fragrance lake is absolutely stunning. The 2 mile hike one way is worth it for the beautiful view of the lake, and if you go during the late spring early summer, there are days where you can catch the lake completely still and extremely reflective. There is also a lookout point between the start of the trailhead and the lake, and if you go during a half foggy day, the sunset is stunning there.

Good short distance hike (4miles RT) with enough switchbacks to get a modest workout. Perfect hike if you don't have a lot of time or wanted something not too strenuous. Fun secluded lake to jump in when you get to the top.

Great view saw some pretty sights far more people walking around than I remember when I was here as a kid. overall it's an amazing place to see and when you get back to your car you get the extra bonus of discovering your car was keyed...good times 5/5 would recommend the view 1/5 for the keyed car would not recommend

Arrived right before 9:00am PT to almost full roadside parking. However, there is Larabee Park parking lot with more space close by. Uphill for 2 miles on well-maintained trail. Fragrance lake is beautiful and perfect for swimming! I recommend taking the trail around the lake after swimming. All pets are required to be leashed per trail signs. However, many dogs were off leash. If you have a fear of dogs, make sure to go with someone you feel safe with. Please leash your dogs. Leashing is not a reflection of your dog’s behavior, but a consideration for others.
