Made tee time for 3:30. When in the pro shop I asked the kid in the pro shop (whom I was warned about by members there that was difficult to deal with) about how busy it was on the Red course because if it was too busy I’d play the gray course. He told me it was wide open with no hesitation. It took me over 2 1/2 hours to make it to the 8th tee box. Being that I was a single, I asked how busy it was for a reason. To be on pace to play a 5+ hour round, clearly anyone would agree that’s far too ridiculous. The greens were punched over 6 weeks ago according to the members. To this day, they’re worse than most courses the day after they punch. They have dressed them 1 time in those 6+ weeks. Putting is out of the question. Was excited to explore the course to possibly join. With out a doubt, I will not be a part of the ridiculousness.

I had a chance to play the red course for the first time since aeration took place in July (3 months ago). Unfortunately, whoever punched those greens killed this course. In 3 months time the greens are still bumpy with significant imprints on just about all of them. Putts don't hold a line because the greens are so bumpy from the punching. Pace of play continues to be an issue here as well. Over 5 hours for the round. I'm not sure if I'd pay more than $10 to play here anymore which is disappointing. New owners seem to be doing more harm than good in my opinion.

Played golf on the Red Course with my parents who came from out of town. Greens had just been sanded but other than that it was a great course. Excellent service in the pro shop as well.

Made a tee time online for a twosome. We were able to add one more so we had three. Were told that since the third person was not on the original tee time they would have to pay the regular rack rate of 55 rather than the 38 online rate. Makes no sense to me.

The greens have really fallen off at foxfire! The last 4 rounds I have played, these are some of the slowest greens I’ve played on all season and I have played all over the state of NC & SC . You definitely have to hammer the putts. Aeration had taken place the round I played on Friday and that definitely made it tough . Service was good but if you’re vacationing in the area I would play Legacy or pinehurst courses as well as Tobacco Road .

Very friendly people. Very welcoming. I give it 3 stars because of the friendliness of the staff and the greens. The greens were awesome. Very fast but fair, they were in great shape. The fairways and tee boxes were horrible. There were tee boxes that had no grass and others very little. Fairways had no grass. Played the red course. Until they can grow some grass don't recommend

Overall great course, but the greens need work, and there was no cart service, and only a vending machine at the turn.

The golf was great Only thing I didn't like about it was you don't end up at the clubhouse after to to get drinks or snacks or even something to eat Only saw the girl riding around in the cart once and she just rode right in by us
