Amazing little neighborhood spot! I'm so glad I found it. I'm gluten and dairy free and they were so accommodating and generous (they turned my single sandwich into a double, gratis, without my asking!) I thoroughly enjoyed the Au jus sandwich (on a gluten free roll). The chips were yummy, the owner was super nice and the ambience is sweet and lovely. Love the local art and wares available for sale as well. This place has a lot of heart, and very tasty food. I'll definitely be back again!
This is the reason I take the roads less traveled. Parallel to I-70 in Ellicott City, MD on MD-144 is the Fox and Barrel Farm Cafe. This small locally owned and operated Cafe offers homemade truly farm fresh meals with unique twists to your favorite recipes with fresh vegetables, herbs and spices. So many choices. Rolling Stones playing on the radio, friendly service, so glad I doubled back.

What a cute cozy local little place. The food was great but a little greasy. I don't mind fat if it's good quality fat like avocado, tallow or olive oil. But most restaurants probably use canola or vegetable oil, which is very inflammatory to the body. Anyhow, it's still very good and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The coffee was okay, wouldn't order that again. The service was very nice and friendly. The cook/owner chatted with us for a bit and even shared tips on how to cook the eggs. Overall, it was a great experience and would definitely go back.
The breakfast bowl is definitely one of the best breakfasts I’ve had, and the eggs were cooked absolutely perfectly. So good and the portions fit the price. You get an amazing bowl full of the goods. House blend black coffee also was really good. Will be back for sure to try other things and get that bowl again. Also a nice area and set up, used to drive past that location years ago and remember it being a run down little lot. Really nice to see somebody come in and put such a nice place there. 100% all around.
This litter Cafe was a neat place to stop for our brunch as we traveled from PA to FL. We enjoyed talking with the staff. The atmosphere was pleasant and had a warm feeling even though it was raining and sleeping. Our sandwiches were made fresh and their homemade chips were really good. The coffee was locally roasted. If you get near this little café, stop in and enjoy your meal!
Dined here today for lunch after driving by a couple weeks ago and then reading reviews. This place has so much character. The owner/chef is FABULOUS and very conversational. Greeted us warmly and gave us a quick overview of the menus and where to find drinks/desserts/table etc. Food was fabulous. Homemade chips were perfectly fried and seasoned. I got a wedge wondering if it would that good? It was! Homemade blue cheese crumbles (divine) and the bacon? Yummmmm. Brother got a breakfast bowl and he loved it! Portions are generous and although we were both full, we continued to eat because each bite was so good. The place feels warm and cozy. So excited to go back and try more offerings. Lucky that we have this place right around the corner. And wish I took photos! Sorry! Next time 😉.
First, I was just driving by and caught a glimpse for what we thought was a food place and hung a u-turn to go back and see. Went in, and it had a nice but small setting with outside seating area. Ordered food, they offer breakfast and lunch, once ordered, found a seat and waited, waited, and waited but then finally the food came out and you'd better have a good appetite cause the food we ordered was LARGE!!! Well worth the wait when we almost questioned leaving, so don't go here in a rush to eat and go!!! The food ordered was Delishious and will be going again, knowing not to be in a rush.
What an adorable find! I had been wanting to try or make Sweet Potato Hash and this adorable farm to table cafe had it already on the menu. My hubby had the breakfast bowl with pork sausage and bacon and the sausage was some of the best I have ever tasted. Great local mom & son operation that supports local artists.

Top notch food, service, and atmosphere! The restaurant was busy on our Saturday evening (make a reservation if planning to dine at these peak times!) but tables are spaced far enough apart that it never felt too crowded or noisy. We tried the crab a
