They recently renovated this and it is beautiful. Plenty of seating in a bustling area of Fort Greene.

A newly renovated open space thats sure to be the place to be when the weather breaks. They have tables and chairs to sit and eat or just watch the world go by. They have at least 5 or 6 eating establishments within a stones throw that you can purchase your meal then walk on over and relax in the square. Fortunately I live just around the corner so I will see you there soon.
Unfortunately I didn’t experience any good things with this park so I can’t speak to those parts. From my one experience with this park I was trying to get to the G subway and almost ran into a tree given it was pretty dark outside (close to 9pm in winter) since there is very little separation of where the trees meet the hard deck-like surface in the triangle area closest to the subway. The steps in this small region (possibly a place to wait for a bus?) are bad since it makes them non accessible and they are super easy to trip over, probably horrendous in the snow or ice since it’s already slippery. Crazy how 10 seconds of walking across the “waiting area” triangle, just trying to get the the subway, can really make you question urban planner / city renovation decision making. Who thought that low light, hard materials, and handrails would be a good idea? Maybe during the day this space is fine for gathering, but I wish there was more greenery(!) and I wouldn’t be surprised if people had tripped or been injured here before.
Our optometrist, Dr. Aaron Mandel, D.O. moved to this new location recently. It's only a little over one block from his prior location. Do take advantage of the fact he offers great service and not too far to travel.

Breathtaking views of the city. It wasn't too crowded but it was a weekday. I suggest a light lunch in the parc or on the benches along the river to take in the amazing view !
This place is such a hidden gem at night, I accidentally came here after dinner and went for a jog. The view to manhattan was superb and the houses along the river are stunning. Worth a visit
