Four Points by Sheraton Seattle Airport South - Hotel in Des Moines - 22406 Pacific Hwy S, USA

The Four Points was clean and quite spacious. We picked it as it was more reasonably priced than some of the other hotels in the area. We were in a corner room and it had a good amount of room. The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean, and newer looking. The one downside was the highway noise. If you are a light sleeper do not get a room on the road facing side of the building. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Be careful when ordering breakfast through 3rd party booking. We were travelling with two kids and added breakfast to our reservation. The hotel only gave us vouchers for me and my wife and wanted to charge us double price for the kids compared to the price we had paid already. The receptionist would not give a refund for our vouchers so we could go elsewhere. The hotel considers everyone to be adults. I do not consider this policy to be family friendly.

I was looking for a hotel fairly close to the airport with a pool to spend a couple of nights after a cruise and before I flew on to Las Vegas. This is the second time I’ve stayed at a Sheraton hotel in the States and had the extraordinary experience of a hotel placing a hold on my CC equal to the amount of the stay and NOT releasing it as soon as the account has been settled. I vacated the hotel on July 7th and as of today, July 15th, my CC is still showing a pending charge in excess of $400 USD for a two night stay. No one at check in had the courtesy to explain that this outrageous amount would be held against my card and that it would take them more than a week to then release the said amount. |As I said previously, this outrage has happened twice now in Sheraton hotels in the US. The lesson I have learned from this is NEVER to book said hotels again. |Apart from that, this hotel is okay.

Poor customer service. Rooms are old and out dated. We checked in to our room, got settled tried turning on the tv and remote didn’t work. We called down to front desk and said they would send someone to take care of it and 45 minutes later still nothing. Asked staff in hallway and said she would have someone come and take care of it that was half an hour ago. Called front desk again and said they would have somebody come in five minutes. Well that didn’t happen. I called again and asked for the manager and they put the same guy on the phone who claim to be the manager and said someone would be here in one minute and of course that didn’t happen. Finally got a hold of general manager and he finally got someone here. He took our remote and brought one back right away. We should not have had to get the general manager involved. They really have very poor customer service other than the general manager. He actually came to our room to make sure this was taken care of. Also their website states complimentary parking and then states on site parking $17.00. We called and asked and they had no clue. The general manager said he was taking care of this. Until they improve their customer service I do not recommend this hotel.

Booking here along with a 3rd party was an absolute headache almost every step of the way. The hotel offered to comp our room one night due to our AC not working, but after a month ordeal decided to deny it after I was assured multiple times (by Kaek) that they would take care of it. Just my thoughts, but you shouldn't offer something if you won’t follow through. We stayed 2 consecutive weekends, and the hotel couldn’t find our reservation on the second weekend (although I was told the week before that they saw we were staying the next weekend) and we had to sort it out with the 3rd party for over an hour in the lobby with 2 young kids. Also did not appreciate how rude Fernando was to us. Between the hotel and 3rd party, it was a disaster. Won’t be staying again.

Positive: Clean, well-kept and comfortable hotel. Indian restaurant on ground floor has wide variety and serves really good food. Negative: The wait for the shuttle at the airport was about half an hour.

We booked this place to get staged for an early departure from SeaTac the next morning. It was disappointment from the time we pulled up front to enter. As is often the case the image they paint online is an enhanced one. The check in was routine not friendly, the restaurant is a small bland one with zero atmosphere. Attached is an Indian place which was good but expensive. Nothing else close by. The room was average, keep in mind this place is on a busy street so quiet may not be available. |It was further from the airport than many other familiar brands so it took longer to get there in the hotel shuttle, which to their credit was on time and efficient. Overall I would not stay here again, I suggest you seek out one of the other properties closer to the airport unless the 4 Points has a screaming deal and you can suffer mediocrity for a night!

Location was no where to brag about, to be expected staying near the airport. The whole building smelled of bleach. The bedding was 0/5. Our blanket when held to the light was brown and the stuffing was barely existent, we guessed it was beached and fried to death. When we requested a new blanket they gave us a similarly brown comforter that had more stuffing but didn’t fit the bed. The toiletries were either empty or on its way and they only provide the bare minimum, again everything smelled of bleach. I woke up several times in the night from the smell. The phone didn’t work, the tv had basic cable but you could not view what you were watching other than the channels themselves. (Showtime, espn, etc.). The entire building had so many security locks, which is great but gave a questionable vibe.
