James is one of a kind! You wont find anyone else like him! He is a phenomenal teacher and athlete. Leads by example and makes you feel like a winner every step of the way. If you want to get to the next level, this is the place. If you got the time and money then give it a go you won’t be disappointed. Also big shout out to Amy! She’s very communicative and kind!

I had some work related travel in Kent and decided last minute to find a near by club for a friendly roll. I emailed head coach James about dropping in and he was quick to welcome me. Although he was out of town and I was unable to meet him in person, his outstanding attitude and professionalism was well represented by his coaching staff and students. I'd definitely drop in again and would highly recommend it to others.

Super friendly and clean gym. The coaches are all great and everyone on the mats is super respectful. They're very conscious of gym etiquette and make beginners feel super welcome. 10/10 recommend

Can't recommend Foster jiujitsu enough! I was traveling through Seattle on a trip from Canada, Professor Foster and his team welcomed me in with open arms. I had a great time and great rolls, training for a morning with his team. Professor Foster, is a very kind person and a fantastic teacher, if you're thinking about going to get some training or join with him, do it! Fantastic gym!

Wow, this is a fantastic BJJ gym. They offer classes for people of all ages and experience. I'm getting close to 50 and just signed up after my intro class. You can learn at your own pace or eventually chose to start training more intensely to compete in local and national tournaments. They have the expertise, classes and coaches to assist and guide you to your goals. Foster BJJ is also very focused on safety and making sure students are learning the fundamentals and foundational skills. I was also happy they allow students (like me) the time our bodies need to adjust to this type of training without over doing it. I've just started, but I've already met several wonderful and talented male and female instructors/coaches of different ages, sizes and body types to assist their diverse students. I've learned more in my first couple classes than I did at my old gym in 6 months. I've signed up personally, and hope to sign up my kids soon.

Professor James Foster is a blackbelt under the legendary Giva Santana, he's an accomplished world champion in his own right and most importantly he's one of the most decent human beings I've ever had the opportunity to meet and train with. Coach Foster and his wife Amy are incredible and the teaching practice is comprehensive. Right away, I felt comfortable, challenged and welcome here. You can tell that everyone treats one another like family, even behind the mandatory masks; and indeed this environment is safe, the mats are clean and the people work tirelessly to keep it so. I can't say enough about this place and the people, so I'll just shut up for now, but will check in again, 6 mo to a year out, and should the zombie A.I. alien super-virus not take us, you'll hear how it goes.

Today was our, my daughter's and mine, first experience at Foster's. The environment was perfect for beginners, and the coaches were amazing. We are now proud members of the Foster Team. -update: Little over 5 months and loving it!
