Very cool place good amount of campgrounds. It's a campground mostly for RVs... Campsite are very flat and lack shade. Bathrooms are some of the cleanest I've seen. The old bunkers can be very cool for all ages in my opinion. Can be a lot of traffic coming and going with the day use right next to the campsite.

We stayed in the dog friendly units. From the online pictures I was expecting old but maintained accommodation. Unfortunately, that’s not what we got. The carpets were in desperate need of cleaning, we didn’t walk barefoot on them. The plaster on the walls was falling off, no screens on the windows. Since there is no ac we had to open windows which isn’t a problem until bugs came in due to no screens. The bedding was clean enough but the beds weren’t very comfortable.|Our friend used the air mattress they provide for additional guests but it didn’t hold air and he was awakened at night by a mouse swimming in our dog’s water bowl. |The staff was friendly and the Fort itself is pretty cool but the lodging was hands down the worst I’ve stayed in. I only saw the dog friendly accommodation and I wouldn’t recommend.

This is one of three RV and tent campgrounds in the Fort Worden state park. The rental houses are NOT in or part of the campground. There are five rows of campsites and all have water and power. There's a 12 unit restroom / shower house for all campers. There's a septic pump station at the entrance to this campground. Trash and recycling stations are adjacent to the restrooms. If you found this review to be helpful please consider adding a thumbs-up.👍

Fort Warden was Great. The weather was Great and the entire park was "CLEAN" even the forts. The Beach was Clean with NO garbage of any kind. There are lots of Forts to look at/in, the grounds were Very Clean. Bring a coat/rain type Jacket...it is normally WINDY on that corner of the area. The Down Town AND Uptown both were Very Clean. There are A lot of shops and Restaurants along the Main Street both Down Town and Uptown. Port Townsend has 4 Grocery Stores...QFC, SAFEWAY, THE FOOD CO-OP and ALDRIDGES Market. From Port Townsend you can be to Squim in a 40 minute Beautiful Drive and Port Angeles in a bit less than a Hour. There is Water Basically ALL AROUND you. With lots of Beaches. If correct, you do have to pay for a day Park Pass. There are Trails all over that are mostly a easy hike...also the Fairy Dock is down town just as your getting into down town that goes over to Whidby Island. If your on a longer stay in Port Townsend you can also make a day trip on the Ferry and go over to Seattle, you have to drive to Bainebridge and catch the Ferry from there which is Approx. A hour drive to Bainebridge.

Great place for RV camping (full hookups). So many things to do within walking distance. Hiking. Fishing. Museum. Historic buildings. We had a blast. Bathrooms/showers are clean. The campsites don't really have a view but they're all otherwise well located surrounded by nature and historical fort so be prepared for, the highlight for us, long hikes with AMAZING views! Some sites are private and some are less so. Great place for kids and bicycles as well.

We had the pleasure of staying at Fort Worden's State Park in September of 2022. Be aware - the "Forest Campground" is water and power only. The "Beach" campground are full hookups and big rig friendly - the bigger rigs in the Forest Campground would be challenged! We have a 38.9' 5th-wheel and it was challenging negotiating turns between trees and backing into our site (site 77), but we did it. We were NOT able to get into the dump station and ended up going down to the Beach Campground and finding an empty pull through site to dump at. The staff was helpful and easy to work with. The facilities are new and clean. If you want to use the showers, you'll need to buy "tokens" - the machine only takes dollars and are located at the end of the shower building. There are tons of things to do at the Park as well as in town. It was a very enjoyable adventure .... just wish we had gotten a Beach Campground site. Will try again another time!

My family stayed in one of the Corporal housing duplexes the past two nights and couldn’t be more disappointed with our stay. We realized the first night that the duplex walls were paper thin. We could hear everything happening on our neighbors sides which really made it hard for our dog to relax and which meant I had to spend most of the morning telling my five year old to be quiet. We expected the place to be older and basic in style, but it’s honestly feels depressing. Paint was pealing from everything, leaving huge patches on the ceiling and wall. The shower reminded my husband and I of our hostel days. The kitchen was so basic it made us regret trying to cook dinner. You must bring everything with you as they don’t provide even salt or cooking oil. We figured out why that might be the next morning when we woke up to find mice poop all over our kitchen.||||We paid over $300 a night (with the pet fee) for a truly depressing stay. I can give one star for the park of course, but it’s safe to say we’ll never stay in the housing on the Fort ever again.

We stayed two nights in the Engineers Cottage at Fort Worden in April 2021. We were late getting the ferry and arrived after hours, but had been left very easy instructions to pick up the key from a key box and find the house. Our check-in and check-out were both completely contactless.||||The house was very spacious - two bedrooms upstairs, a bathroom, living room, dining room, and kitchen downstairs. The location was perfect - we were able to spend the day walking around the Fort, over to the lighthouse, and beach. It was so unique to stay in a historical location like this and imagine what it would've been like for the soldiers. An absolutely beautiful location!

I went here for my first time today. It was amazing! I had absolutely no idea this museum and restoration shop was even here. This place helps kids get in to aviation too. I loved it. If I didn't live so dang far, I would definitely volunteer as an A

Our favorite restaurant in Port Townsend! So good we went 2 nights in a row during our trip. We came back for their amazing pasta and ice cream! The seasonal ice cream was apple pie and it’s the best! Their devil eggs and scallops are our favorites

My wife and I drove up from Poulsbo for the day to be tourists. We asked a local merchant for a recommendation. He gave us 3 choices and we chose the Fountain Cafe. It’s a block from the main road but worth the walk. Wow. The food was fantast
