We photographed the dreamiest wedding elopement here in mid-December last year, just as the sun was setting. This park feels like a hidden gem in NYC. There are so many beautiful gardens and amazing architecture, especially if you know your way around like us! We absolutely love it here both for photography and just to feel like you're getting away from the busy city. Definitely recommend a trip if you've never been. It's also an amazing spot for engagement sessions, too.

This park gives you a very nice view of Hudson River and Palisades. It is a hidden gem, in my opinion. People usually come to this park for the Met Cloisters without realizing right close there is a wonderful garden next to it. I visited on a rainy day, but it is worth visiting on a clear day. It is a very well maintained park just like other city parks. Finding parking within the park can be challenging at times.

A fantastic park that is well worth traveling to. The park itself is quite beautiful and has a wide array of well maintained paths and hiking trails. The park is very clean and I saw almost no litter or trash. The trails weave through the park in a variety of paths and offer a piece of nature within the bustling city. Many of the paths lead up the hill to the Met Cloisters and these paths provide scenic views of the Hudson River. I highly recommend taking some time to explore this gorgeous park.

Beautiful uptown park with panoramic views of the Hudson River. I love the stonework all over the park. Such close proximity to the parkway detracts from the experience in some of the lower western areas, but it's minimal. The many winding and intersecting trails are fun to hike and explore.

Surprisingly a great visit and every New Yorker should make the time to go here at least once. I want to say it's probably the most hilly park I have visited in NYC. Even though I came here just before the start of Winter, it was still magnificent. ✌🏽

Really a quite lovely park that I now consider a bit of a hidden gem. Not something I think I would have seen had I not lived in Inwood, but it's definitely worth a visit. There are multiple things to do here, spread out over various spots of this large, expansive park area, so if you're looking to explore it, I recommend comfy clothes and shoes. You'll have plenty of long trails to walk and there are stairs and hills throughout the park as well. Some of the main features you can do here: playgrounds and sports fields for families and young ones, plenty of tidy lawns for picnics or relaxing in the sun or the shade, tree lined paths for exploration without the burning heat on you, floral gardens which makes great backdrops for photo shoots, a dog run, nature and wildlife can be seen in this park of you're lucky (we saw a groundhog doing it's thing!), the community will sometimes hold local events here, there is a farmers market close by the northern edge of the park area, access to the water if you want to walk along the Hudson or even fish (I personally wouldn't recommend fishing without REALLY knowing your stuff but people def do it out here), The Hudson restaurant towards the upper north corner, a canoe club that does free canoe demonstrations on Sundays, The Met Cloisters at the top of the hill kind of in the middle, and the views at the various hillsides of the city are GORGEOUS. I'm including Fort Tryon and all the surrounding nearby park area in this description as it's kind of a long area if you look at the map. The park areas are separated a bit by the street if you're exploring the full thing but definitely sill right there by each other, making this a lovely area full of things to do.

It is a beautiful park located in Manhattan right around Dyckman, it has some very beautiful areas where you can find different birds like the oriole and animals like the squirrel. If you go to the top you will have a beautiful view of the Hudson River.
