A bit confusing with 3 different entrances. The far north entrance said fee area, not sure why? The middle entrance where the battery is, is where we went. A bit disappointing to all the bunkers and bases in Washington state. The first entrance is a mystery to us. Lots of walking to do, great trails and beach access is nice. Don't bother to find the shipwreck. The bunkers are in the worst shape of any base I've been to personally.
This place ended up being way more awesome than I ever suspected. Elk herds that are completely unbothered by human presence, excellent panoramic coastal views, the shipwreck, and the fort area itself are all a great visit. One of the most pleasant stops in recent memory.
Great camping location for RVs and tent campers. Some sites with full hook ups others with water and power. Seasonal bike rentals and great biking trail system. Close to the beach and great sunsets. Park staff and Park hosts are very helpful and friendly. Lots of things to do for the whole family or just a relaxing stay if that's what you want. One of the best state parks in Oregon.
We had SO much fun on out little adventure. The park is beautiful, the staff is so friendly and helpful (even if they ARE bad influences trying to make us play hookie and stay another day lol!) and the stillness cannot be beat. An affordable beautiful way to escape the city. We will be back next year with my nephews for a week!
I have camped and been there for just a day visit. The beach is clean and beautiful. The access spots are wonderful and plenty. The camp grounds are well kept and bathrooms are clean. Definitely worth the visit.
Usually we have positive ratings on state parks but we made a mistake this time at Ft. Stevens State Park site M54. We still love Ft. Stevens, centrally located for shopping, about 2 miles to the ocean beaches, a lot of wonderful trails for biking or walking. Clean park & restrooms & very nice camp hosts. But, we unknowingly reserved the wrong site. It was too small (44 ft), which I really thought would be perfect length for our truck & RV. It had invasive, thick, tree roots the entire campsite, making it very treacherous to walk on. The fire pit was too close to the blacktop where our trailer was parked (stationary), as well as the picnic table. We tried to change sites but the campground was full & nothing was available. The employees at Ft. Stevens need to reconsider this site for future camping. If someone falls or if a trailer catches on fire could turn out much more expensive for the campground vs losing $$ for site rental. But, looking at the positive, we got to witness a herd of elk grazing right next to our site, so cool to see nature at it’s best!
A variety of sites, including a raised wooden path in the wildlife viewing bunker, a shipwreck from 1906(!), nice small beaches, and dunes. We saw several elk around sunset. Plentiful parking in multiple areas.
Our most FAVORITE STATE PARK in US!!! Clean, safe, plenty big, miles of paved trails for EASY biking!! Affordable too!!! Camp sites clean!! The Public Showers…3 Star…unkept and kinda nasty!!! SHOWER SHOES a must!!!! The lake there is relaxing and picturesque!

If you've never been here, I always recommend visitors spend time here. Bring food and make it a picnic lunch. There is a HUGE area of bunkers to explore, and open fields with frisbee golf. The museum is small but fun to go through. Bathrooms and dog
Me and my son had the best day together there exploring the creepy bunkers, right on the ocean, saw a huge heard of elk, right up close right in the park. My son loved it there and loves exploring would like to find more fun places we can explore tog
What a truly awesome little motel. The great care taken by the owners is evident in all aspects here. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and check in was smooth and easy. Rooms each have thier own theme, and they have a neat personal touch to each o
Love this place as it's always been hometown vibes 100. The bartender is very kind and not in any way disrespectful or in your business when you seat at the bar. He was courteous and was excellent birthday service. Thank you for a great night and alw
