Took a hit from IAN but this place is working hard to get back together. Had a great stay. The front of the park is looking good and they are hard at work on the back. The staff could not be any nicer!! Even let us borrow their own fire pit for a campfire! ( free wood too!) nice clean pool and hot tub, dog park , playground, shuffleboard, corn hole, clean, quiet and on a nice part of pine island. ( oh and they are resurfacing the tennis/pickleball courts). Worth the trip.

Still recovering from hurricane Ian. Staff friendly and helpful. Most of the park still closed. Pool heater wasn't working but was supposed to be repaired. Hotub was clean and working. Most amenities not available yet. No camp store. Definitely bring lots of bug spray, noseems and mosquitoes were really bad.

We did not stay there this time because only part of the park is open, yet your still charged full price. And for a park that is out in the middle of nowhere, it is quite expensive.

We just about had the place to ourselves. Very few people around since it was off season. Our site was great and staff was very helpful. Restroom in the back we're kept very clean. Pool though small was sparkling. My only problem was that everything to do was up in the front of the park, and much to far to walk in the heat of the day. One other thing, their store is not a KOA affiliated. Couldn't use up my gift card.

We stayed here, for one week, Pre-hurricane Ian. This was a wonderful RV site. We stayed in site # 303, patio, and it was like we had our own little paradise next to lake. The turtles were a lot of fun. Every morning looking for handouts. All the facilities were great 10+. Staff was great. pool and spa were excellent. We would stay again. Side note. Heard pine island got hit bad and KOA is closed until further notice. Unable to find out any info on how this KOA did? I hope it came out with not too much damage. The KOA key west came back better after a rebuild. I hope this one does the same. Prayers to everyone on Island.

Great KOA. Very helpful staff. Our site had an electrical issue when we arrived. We called the office and, even thought things were very busy with arrivals, a staff member came by in about three minutes and fixed it. He returned a while later to check and make sure everything was good. Very nice pool. Several bars and restaurants not too far away on the bike/walking path which runs the length of the island. A fantastic produce farm and market several miles to the north. We’ll be back!

Super clean, very lovely staff. Marcia and Mike were great from check in to check out. My only disappointment is the lack of transportation on Pine island. It was a $50 taxi to go 7 miles. Don't visit the island expecting to catch an uber or lift. There is great entertainment and good eats on the island. We spent most of our time in St James City because we were on our bikes. You can rent a pontoon, boat or kayak at APEX adventures.

If you are looking to get away from it all then this is the place for you. There are a couple of local restaurants and 2 grocery stores within 10 minutes but going on and off the island can be a pain and 30 minutes on a good day, an hour on a bad day. They have activities planned as well as tennis/pickle ball court, basketball court, 2 clubhouses with a pool table, fitness area and ping pong table in one. The front clubhouse has the large pool and it is with the office and general store as well. The general store has various items you may need and even sells cold beer. There are multiple places on the island to drop your kayaks in and lots of hiking, but bring that bug spray! The island is a swamp so there are bugs in the park and sometimes the no-see-ums can feel like they are carrying you away. They have 3 shower houses, front, middle, back. The front is closed at night because it is connected to the pool. They have a nice laundry that takes cards and has an app to pay for convenience. All in all this was a nice quiet get away but the drive to town can get to you! We stayed here from December to April. It was tough to convey over the phone what we needed so we waited until we got there and explained. Apparently there is a crazy sorting system that doesn’t allow for moving sites around causing the disconnect over the phone. Once we were there they were able to accommodate us staying longer, and at the same site. I would like to dispel a couple of comments I read on here! The staff is friendly and accommodating with a couple who tend to be rough around the edges, that being said I’ve personally witnessed some campers that are very rude to them so I would imagine it’s difficult sometimes. (I literally watched a camper have a worker remove dog poop from his site, they even handed him a shovel, good grief). There are bugs, it’s on the back bay, wear bug spray. They don’t require you to purchase gas, wood or any such items from them. We saw people coming in at all hours of the night and even had people parking at the entrance on the lawn waiting for the morning, they will not be greeting you after hours. They are welcoming to all the dogs, even the ones that aren’t RV park ready and bark all day. A worker asking you a question doesn’t mean they are attacking you. Just remember, treat others like you want to be treated and don’t assume a question is an attack.

Was a beautiful room in a perfect location. We are in the process of rebuilding our home after Ian, so this was a perfect place to stay and relax while we got to visit our neighbors and enjoy the island for the weekend. Everything was perfect. We st

Tropical Point Park is a hidden gem, sliver of sand where you can dip your toes in the water on Pine Island. The area is quiet; the kind of place where you can hear the water lapping against the shore. On the day I visited, several other people were
