Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa - Hotel in Pompano Beach - 1200 N Ocean Blvd, USA

I've been here twice. Both times the service has always been stellar. Everyone is very courteous, helpful and mindful of guest surroundings. We especially enjoyed interactng daily with all staff. They all remembered our name and were eager to offer any help. Elzie Robinson especially kept us smiling and laughing while we waited for storms to pass us by. It rained some during our stay and he kept the tropical party vibe going. He was such a positive and fun spirit to see every morning as well as the House Keeping and Guest Services staff at the Reception desk. I would recomend this hotel to anyone who appreciates great customer service around the clock and a very clean environment. There was much construction in progress yet staff made you feel your experience would be just as great and uninterrupted.

The hotel is very pretty... my disappointment was that when we booked there was no indication that it was under construction. The pool was not in service...the outside potion was closed....When we checked in we are told of the amenities we are entitled to which 1 of them was 2 beach chairs. I asked the check in person (young man who was not pleasant) if we could get the umbrella for free too as compensation for not being able to use the pool. He says no! didn't ask anyone didn't try to accommodate....just no...he's reply was actually "the beach is literally right there!" |I also asked him if he would put me on the same floor as my friends also said no....said that was a request we needed to ask for when we booked. We booked together so not sure how that wasn't a given. We paid for ocean view, I had the view of a building on the 5th floor. Luckily I called reception spoke to a young lady I believe her name was either Julissa or Velisa. She was very helpful switched my room to the 8th floor. The rest of our stay the staff was very nice. If I was given the opportunity to stay there again after its renovated I might do it but I would have to really think about it.

Prior to booking I requested information on the property and concerns. Nicole provided world class customer service by answering all question and concerns and lead to me booking this location! I have stayed at thousands of Marriott’s and this would be the 3rd Marriott I have received amazing customer service! Nicole was constantly rapid on response and also had a lot of knowledge! Nicole made this stay amazing!! ||On check in I was greeted by Robert and Arda both Robert and Arda made the check in the fastest and most informative check I have ever experienced. Arda and Robert both made sure everything was up to my expectations and everything was up to par! Customer service and the personality was a great experience! Both Arda and Robert made a great everlasting check in experience!! All Marriott’s should have this type of check in experience!

The resort was beautiful and everyone was super friendly! We really enjoyed our time at the beach and exploring the town. I would say that Nicole at the first desk is the absolute best. She was so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. She made our stay a worthwhile. Thank you Nicole and the staff at pampano.

The hotel is undergoing renovations. Fine. I know I booked early and it could have been before the renovations, or it was before all of it was advertised on the website. I was unaware the pool was non existent and the outdoor dining was also gone. I don’t know if I missed it or if it hadn’t started when I booked the room but talk about a complete let down! Workers say construction is set to continue through April 2025 as it just started last week or the week before. ||So ok, only the beach is open. Towels would have been nice lol, they could have at least provided those. But really, it’s hot in South Florida and not having a pool is criminal. Maybe they could have done a deal with the residence inn next door? ||I ordered some fries for lunch because I wasn’t super hungry. Ya, those were ice cold and idk who they belonged to before me but damn. It certainly wasn’t cook to order lol. But for 5$, I didn’t complain. I just made sure to get dinner at the Seaside a few steps away. ||The resort fee… Marriott how DARE you?! A resort fee for a place where everything is closed and you pay for parking? The audacity. This isn’t Las Vegas. You need to have some amenities available to warrant that charge. The 2 cans of cardboard sangria at check in and the empty beach chair don’t count lol. Robbery, period. ||$8.50 for a can of white claw… at the hotel with nothing open. Yikes. ||At a bare minimum, upgrade the room for the people who do end up booking here while the place is shut down. Because a room upgrade would have been the only thing to make this somewhat enjoyable. Overall it was horrible. Just utterly disappointed and I won’t come back even when the renovation is over.||Also, friggin upgrade the damn tv!!! No one cares about the tv until everything is closed!!! The mini tv just sucks . Ugh.

I stayed here with my family on multiple occasions. I must shout out the most exceptional staff member, who resembles Wanda Sykes. Her name is Sheila!! She told me that many people tell her about the resemblance. Anywho, she always put a smile on my face. Her service is amazing. She is such a wonderful person. She made our stay so great. Thank you so much .

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days. It was mediocre, and nothing that special. Pros: The valet service was great. They got your car in seconds and were very friendly. The staff were also great and very welcoming. Upon arriving, we received two complimentary drinks. Restaurant staff were also great. Shoutout to William! He was very nice. There are also free waters by the pool and the complimentary two free beach chairs were available with the resort free. Beach is also INCREDIBLE! Cons: The food was OKAY. Nothing special. Better food could be found outside of the hotel. However, we really enjoyed breakfast! The gift shop is extremely small. No Pompano Beach merchandise, and not many basic med equipment such as cough medicine or Tylenol. There is only 1 restaurant on site. I wish there was a variety. The pool was okay for the first two days. I didn’t see any filters however and the two pools were very small. The jacuzzi was an embarrassment. It could only fit 4 people at most. Also, the last few days we were here they closed to the pool for renovations. All in all, I think we’d stay somewhere else. Not the best Marriott we’ve stayed at.
