He has learned so much about Jiu J1itsu and the classes have significantly improved his confidence and self-discipline and had a very positive impact on his life. He is more focused in school, respectful and self-controlled. The instructor Bruce and his team are highly qualified and experienced. They are patient, knowledgeable, and passionate about teaching jiu jitsu to kids. They create a fun, supportive and engaging learning environment, and they help each child to learn at their own pace. The classes are well-structured and cover a wide range of Jiu Jitsu techniques. They have a warm up, discuss Jiu Jitsu principles, learn techniques, spar, receive recognition for accomplishments and finish with a fun energetic competitive game. In every class, the instructors teach the kids about important life values, such as respect, discipline, honesty and perseverance and encourage parents to let them know if their child could benefit from focusing a lesson in the class on a particular topic or how to deal with a specific type of situation without making it about any particular student. Great experience all around, Bruce. The trainer and Katerina are great, Bruce is a very attentive teacher and a great guy, too. I started about 2 months ago and fell in love with training. If you're on the fence about it, definitely jump on in. The people in the classes are awesome and inviting.

As parents we try to offer our children the best education and best choice of schools. We try to expose them to what we believe will make them successful and accomplished in life. I can truly say that Fort Lauderdale Jiu jitsu fits well in that regard. Bruce Belfield is highly skilled in martial arts. He has achieved black belts in Karate, Judo and Jiu jitsu. His experience as a detective with the police department and S.W.A.T instructor make him highly skilled. His real life experience translates into the best possible guidance that you could get for self defense. I personally believe in the importance of teaching children martial arts with its approach to respect and responsibility. Other than learning how to defend themselves, the children learn the importance of discipline and self control. The teachers are kind and positive role models for the children. So, if you are looking for an authentic helio gracie jiu jitsu martial arts school, with awesome teachers, then this might just be the place for you and your kids!

I have decided to begin Jiujitsu in Fort Lauderdale over a year ago and being a 57 years old it was not an easy decision. Today I am very happy of the results. Bruce is an excellent instructor, his teaching skills are outstanding, he takes care of every detail when we train on the mat. The enviroment is awesome, every class is enjoyable. The atmosphere on and outside the mat is very friendly. I have improved my fitness, I have overcome all my fears on getting injured and I have made very good friends in the last 13 months. I highly recommend Bruce and his school for everyone.

This is a great local spot to train at. They offer all sorts of classes and a great curriculum. Bruce is a great teacher and you will learn very fast. If you've never been trained before and ate looking for a great start with some great people, I highly recommend this spot
