Local TC couple own /create/serve at this amazing restaurant. Fri and Sat night only. 20 customers for each seating (one seating a night). It feels like you’re invited into their kitchen for an exquisite meal. We ordered the “wine pairing “ for each course (four tastings) for an additional $45 pp. I felt they could have “topped off” our glasses or provided a full pour. I asked for a “splash more” of the red served with dinner and was surprised we were charged. That being said, I would return EVERY month as the menu changes each month. This place is booked ALL SUMMER but I put my name on a “notify” for cancellation and scored a rez for two.
Had a wonderful experience at Forrest food studio! The food was plated beautifully and and had a unique taste. It was served at room temperature but I enjoyed the flavor combinations. It was difficult to have a conversation or hear, but otherwise great atmosphere. I enjoyed the wine pairing too!
Edit: I was mistaken as the owner noted and updated my single 4/5 segment to 5/5. We incorrectly assumed having our boxed dessert and bill paid that our food had not been saved and we didn’t want to cause a fuss in front of others or seem to be asking for a discount, which we weren’t. Atmosphere is cute and welcoming. Patrons are seated with others and served each course at the same time. Cucumber water was complimentary and went great with everything. First three courses were excellent, a bread course, crab croquettes, Brussels sprouts. The Beef Wellington was a little underwhelming. There was a crepe included inside the pastry which was very eggy. I ended up scraping it out best as I could and reassembling the Wellington. We were a little bummed that we asked for about half of our Wellington to be boxed and they forgot to save it. I was stuffed but would have gladly eaten the rest of it, I just wanted to savor it. I felt awkward addressing it at a large table of strangers. They were happy to box up one of our two desserts however. And the dessert was wonderful. The wine pairings were also quite nice. Other than the leftovers the service was wonderful. Not knocking the Wellington too hard for what may just be my preference.
Forrest made us (a group of 10 adults) an awesome New Year's Eve meal! Lamb/beef meatballs and sausage flat bread appetizer, salad, steak and lobster mash potatoes, and a hazelnut monkey bread for dessert. He and his wife, Nicole, were a pleasure to work with, and they left the kitchen cleaner than they found it. Would highly recommend!
This is the best fine dining in Traverse City. Everything about the experience was exceptional - the food, the drinks, the service is top notch. Nothing is spared to ensure a great dinner
I NEVER miss a Thursday menu at Forrest. The food is incredible, locally sourced, connected to stories of travel around the world, and so varied from month to month. Highly recommend!
My husband and I spent New Year’s Eve 2021 here enjoying a studio dinner. One of the best meals of our life! It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The meal’s depth of flavor was exceptional - Forrest’s keen sense to every detail is apparent in every bite. It is hard to achieve a five star review but they absolutely deserve it! We will be back for sure.
Forrest + Nicole cooked for our wedding recently and we honestly could not recommend them more. In addition to being amazing, genuine people who deeply care about the source and quality of their food, they provided a great experience for our guests and we can say without a doubt that it was the best wedding food anyone in our group has ever had (bias aside). If you're having a special event in the TC area and want some of the best food you've ever had, you should definitely reach out to them.

We found this little gem while looking for a non-chain spot for breakfast. It was fantastic. The atmosphere here is really comfortable and relaxed. The staff is friendly, and the place is clean. It's a small place, so there was a little bit of a
My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch on a Monday. Light traffic and we were able to get food right away! Locally owned and operated cafe with great food! The staff is super friendly and enjoyable. My wife ordered a bowl of the tomato basil soup
A great breakfast spot! The food was delicious, and the portions nice. We really enjoyed the coffee. We added plant based sausage to the kale hash and it was great. The pumpkin cream filled french toast was quite good, but it was more like a pumpkin
Fun and relaxing atmosphere with fantastic food! My wife and I love stopping in here for a cup of coffee and connection. Wonderful breakfast options like the BYO breakfast sandwich and Baked Oatmeal. Staff are friendly and kind, and the restaurant
Donât be put off by the fact that this restaurant is inside a hotel- this is not a âhotel restaurant â, rather this is a chef and staff that is fully committed to creative âscratch kitchenâ experience. If available, I recommend the tasting
Great location & lake views, solid food offerings (we had the chicken tacos & walleye tacos), topped off with friendly service. Worth the trip over on a nice day to enjoy tables outside.

It's Fast Food... The food was good, table was clean, and the only time an employee talked to us was when we ordered. This meal saved us from being hungry when we then went shopping at Meijer and hopefully a little bit of money.
I am very pleased to have gone into the store today. The woman who helped me curate my reading list was a pleasure to work with. She was very knowledgeable and personable. My next few book purchases will be made using the list we came up with. I will
It is a great place to workout. The staff are kind, knowledgeable and eager to assist with questions. The members are generally down to Earth and not pretentious. People of all body types workout there, and there is no perceived judgments.
I came to Harvest after moving here from Tennessee 4 years after my husband past. Love that they preach the Word and have a wonderful worship service. I felt so welcomed and Blest. Thank you for being so welcoming and helpful to me.
I've been to Playa Bowls twice now - once for dine-in and once for takeout - and I must say, their bowls are fresh and tasty! Also, they offer a free water station, which is always appreciated. When the weather is nice, the window wall opens up, cre
Cody our budtender was GREAT! He was so friendly and inviting for a first time experience, he was the perfect fit. He took his time to explain every product and the deals were top tier! Definitely will be back! Worth the drive.
Been coming here since I was a kid in the 90s (and my dad/aunts before that, and my grandparents even before that too!) - love this place just down the road. Best pizzas for a busy night at the cottage when we don't want to cook. Also love Turbo!
Delicious store baked scones. The best! And the best coffee as well as friendly fast service. My go to for a coffee. I love the cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
First time in. Couldnât be happier with the staff. Great people - attentive if that matters to you. Perfect tenders choice pics. For me it the smiles and happiness around. Priced more than right to purchase it all and support the growing industry.
