It was my first time visiting Fornos of Spain!!! My significant other was ranting and raving about the food! Upon arrival the decor was so beautiful and the white tablecloth with pattern on each table….. We waited by the bar until our table was ready, the bartender was very welcoming… The decor was rich in the traditional Spanish esthetics…. Service was excellent with very attentive wait staff. Raphael was our waiter, he mentioned it was his first day. He had a vast knowledge of the Menu and did an amazing job! On the way to our table you can see a full display of the dessert, it’s was a delicious delight to see. Our drinks and appetizers were fresh and well prepared. In the main dining area was beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and bows, light Christmas music playing in the background. Overall, it was truly an amazing experience and will definitely visit again for dinner. It’s definitely worth it, and there is parking with wheelchair accessible doors and bathroom.

Really beautiful Spanish restaurant in the heart of Newark. During the summer months, they have nice patio area for outdoor dining. Loved the Salmon Fornos style. They have valet parking. There’s public paid parking nearby as well. However, I highly recommend making reservations for dinner.

Fornos of Spain delights with its fantastic cooking. We couldn't resist ordering more food—it was simply irresistible. My cousin raves about the Apple Martini non-stop. Overall, our dinner was fantastic, and we're definitely planning to return.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Fornos. We arrived early to have cocktails at the bar after reading other reviews and we were really impressed. The bartenders were very attentive to us and were delighted to accommodated our questions and special drink requests. I love the whole ceremony of a hand crafted cocktail and Fornos delivered an outstanding experience. We lingered at the bar past our reservation time by a few minutes but were graciously seated when we were ready. We met a fine local gentleman at the bar who is a regular and he recommended a nice bottle of wine that the bartender decanted for us while we prepared to move to our table. The menu is a bit overwhelming with choices so we asked for some recommendations. We had a few items to share and the food was simply outstanding. The restaurant is very organized and is professionally managed. We never had to do more than look up and a server was ready to help. I was a bit nervous choosing this restaurant for a night out with my old friends but it was amazing. If I'm ever in Newark again I'll for sure return to Fornos of Spain. Highly recommended.

(That's me in the pic) What can I say about the best restaurant in the heart of Newark only two blocks from Newark Penn Station. They serve the very best authentic Spanish dishes since 1980. The paella is to die for as well as all of their seafood dishes. I have been going to this restaurant since it opened and it is just a delight. The food, the atmosphere, the service, all combine to give you a wonderful dining experience. The menu is extensive, the sangrias refreshing and tasty, the wait staff is impeccable. There are several dining areas including an outdoor seating area as well. I posted pics of the bar area where I stop in sometimes when I come out of Newark Penn Station when arriving from trips to MIT in Cambridge. I always meet cool people at the bar and engage in lively conversation with them as well as with the bar wait staff. Run don't walk to Fornos for lunch, dinner, drinks, tapas, all soo wonderful.

The service was great. This is a place where they absolutely love what they do and take pride in keeping the tables free of dirty plates. They bring fresh utensils with every new plate brought to your table. They offer you a refill on your drink as soon as they see that it's empty. The atmosphere is incredible.

Loved this place so much I forgot to take pictures of my food. The service was amazing. The atmosphere was beautiful. The establishment was very clean. We valeted our cars. I went for an employee brunch. All of the food was pre-ordered. The first round selection included: fried sausages with green and black olives, garlic shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, and bruschetta with olive oil and a spicy olive mix, with water, ginger ale, and coke for drinks. Round two included the main courses of salmon with a creamy sauce, medium rare steak with potatoes, and chicken cutlets. The veggies were broccoli, carrots, Spanish rice, and green beans. Dessert was available from a small select menu. I chose coconut flan and cappuccino. It was ALL amazing and I will go back again with my husband.

Not sure how I missed this gem. I drive past it everyday. Cute cafe. Good prices. Only complaint is the $3 orange juice that comes in the small tea cup, like I’m not a grown adult. Other than that the fries were amazing and I don’t even eat fries
