Our absolute favorite place to stay! The team at ForFriends Inn has thought of everything to make you feel special. From the live music, played by Dave, one of the property owners, to Sandra and her daughter, preparing delicious homemade breakfast options in the morning. Happy Hour is lovely, we always meet people and kick off the night with sipping local wines. Spencer will gladly share the town's hot places to shop and dine. He's cute too. And details, did I mention they are thoughtful??? :) Chocolates in the room, warm cookies in the evening...||Leslie, Debbie (the Sisters), and I, Patricia (the 3rd pea in the pod), wish you an amazing time at ForFriends Inn and Village
The For Friends Inn always exceeds our expectations and we've been coming here for years. We like staying in the Brick Barn room because it has its own, separate entry. The room is spacious for 2 people and the bathroom is more than accommodating. You can't beat the location for being able to walk to great restaurants after enjoying a great happy hour with wine, charcuterie, and many times, entertainment. The breakfasts are great and plentiful, enough so that you may not need lunch. Can't recommend this place enough.
Fabulous B&B. Warm welcome by delightful, friendly staff at the door with sparkling beverage and escorted to our cozy room. Enjoyed complimentary happy hour with a yummy charcuterie board paired with yummy wine, chardonnay and pinot noir our favorites. Leisurely to dinner and back to the Inn for gourmet cookies and desert wine. Felt soooooo spoiled! Everything and more we were longing for. Thank you Dave at For Friends Inn! Your staff went above and beyond devoting attention to our wishes.
I've been looking forward to staying at the For Friends Inn for quite some time and finally had the opportunity this past weekend.||We were welcomed by both Dave the owner, and his manager Spencer at the daily wine and charcuterie reception they host for their guests daily. The property is charming and welcoming as were they. The location makes it easy to visit all your favorite places in the Valley. Dave's relationships in the Valley with wineries and the best local restaurants allow for extra perks as part of your stay. My best friend came up for a visit and we were so impressed by the hospitality and attention to detail. We stayed in the Sagunto Cottage and it was like being at home. We had everything we needed, including a delicious homemade breakfast in the dining room. You have to try the rosemary popovers! I recommend staying at the For Friends Inn next time you're visiting SYV.
This place is very quaint and well appointed. Comfy bed. Cozy Fireplace was a bonus in a chilly day. The wine hour included an amazing choice of wine, cheese and meats. And live music. 3 course breakfast rivaled any of the local restaurants. |And so close to all of the great places in the valley. Worth every penny.
Great place. Friendly and involved staff. Yes, that's the owner playing guitar at happy hour and greeting everyone. Centrally located - everything in downtown Santa Ynez, while a very small town, a quick walk. Quiet, comfortable, well maintained. Cozy lobby w fireplace. Complimentary breakfast in the morning, wine at happy hour, and hot chocolate, dessert wine, and cookies in the evening. A word of caution: we were in the Sunstone Tower, a charming two story suite. The staircase is a bit of a chore -- steep and twisty, needs caution. Other than that, everything was great.
This is our fourth time staying at For Friends Inn! The friendly staff cannot do enough to make you feel welcome and spoiled! From the welcome champagne, helping with luggage, happy hour with guitar and vocals by Dave, the owner and Jesse, the delicious breakfasts, the homemade cookies, the after dinner port, the roaring fire! We love it there and we love the staff! The location in the quaint town of Santa Ynez is great too! Walk to dinner, short drive to wineries! 5 stars!
We just returned from our second stay at the inn and it was just as wonderful as the first. The hospitality was wonderful! If you are looking for a place with charm, great service and hospitality, and wonderful breakfast this is the place to stay. They have a wonderful happy hour that has live music on the weekends. Dave the owner is often there greeting guests and he is also a talented musician. You don't want to miss afternoon happy hours or an amazing breakfast with a special red or white wine reduction served with fresh popovers. Yummy!! The location is within walking distance of all the wonderful restaurants in Santa Ynez and makes for an easy stroll to dinner and back.
Alicia at Lucky Hen went above and beyond for our catering order. The platters were stunning and all my guests raved about the food. Thank you so much!
Wonderful dining experience. Love the food, the drink and really delightful service team! Glad we picked here to celebrate crossing into the new year. All dishes we ordered were nicely executed, from texture to flavor, unpretentious, just delicious.
A really beautiful collection of historic exhibits. Lot of stories about the life of the first settlers and immigrants. The biggest collection of coaches and carriage west of the Mississippi. One of the best processed collections gives easy access to
It's absolutely one of my favorite places to go to dinner. I highly recommend that Prime ribeye or their special seafood dish are definitely my go-to dishes. The bar tenders make great drinks, and they also carry local beers. I highly recommend makin
We LOVE dos carlitos! Been coming here for years, whenever we pass through Santa Ynez. We even visited two days in a row this past weekend.... They have amazing salsa, to die for margaritas (Cadillac, baby!), food, and service. I always get their tw
Great pastries, and wonderful service! The fruit was fresh, the waffle was perfect, my friend loved her coffee, and my vegan burrito was flavorful. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming, and parking is super easy. New go-to breakfast spot!
We ordered a large pizza. Dough was great. My wife liked the sauce, I would have preferred a little more spice. It was brought to us hot and looking great. Will eat here again.
As always, we are greeted like family. The check in staff is great especially Rosio who always ensures we are well taken care of. The smash burgers at the food court as outstanding. Breakfast in the morning in the Cafe is great. Just wish the "
