I received a warm welcome by the front desk clerk. If you have a room on the carport level, you have plenty of private parking options located right outside your room door! Make sure to put your parking tag in your windshield. The parking is $20 per day, it is well worth it to me. The hotel is walking distance to the Heavenly Village tourist area, stores, restaurants, and movies. The closest Lakeside beach is privately owned. There is a cost per person to attend the beach. Most hotels and Hilton vacation club members can go for a discount or no cost depending what hotel you are at. Unfortunately, Forest Suites Resort does not offer a discount at the Lakeside Beach. The beach was worth it to me as it was calming and not crowded. The suite was cozy and had a beautiful view of the pool and jacuzzi. The kitchen was great, it includes dishes, supplies and appliances. One minor issue was that the bathroom door hook was broken so I could not hook up my makeup bag. There is a beautiful fireplace. The tv signal did go in and out which was a little frustrating while watching a movie. I did only see one bug due to the construction going on. That is pretty good as I usually see multiple bugs at other hotels. The breakfast buffet was delicious! Checkout was easy, you will receive a link to checkout. You can either leave your keys in the room or drop off in a bin at the front desk. I like it that there is No housekeeping during your stay. You contact the front desk if you need anything.
It is an older, dated hotel but has some redeeming qualities. The pool area is nice with a hot tub and corn hole and other games. Good family area. Breakfast was pretty good. It was a buffet style with many options. Way better than your normal hotel continental breakfast. Parking is a little odd but they did well to maximize their space. Located close to Heavenly Village so that is a plus. TV was big. We stayed in a suite with a kitchen which was a plus.
Our family of four had an amazing time at Forest Suites Resort at Heavenly Village! This place is incredibly family-friendly, making us feel safe and comfortable throughout our stay. The breakfast selections were great, offering a variety of tasty options to start our day. The resort is clean and well-maintained, and we loved that it’s within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and hiking trails. Thank you for a memorable vacation!

We came as a family and really enjoyed our time together. This is a great location but the rooms are somewhat dated. Very friendly atmosphere with helpful staff. I would definitely come back again. Dog friendly too which is a plus for us.
Any way you slice it, it is NOT a four star hotel! Maybe I would have a slightly different opinion if I was there during ski season, but we weren’t. It was just tired and sad. The color of the room walls, the furniture that looked like they got it from a thrift store, the patched up everything….I could go on. People sitting around the fire pit in cheap plastic chairs smoking and drinking (in the hot tub too which by the way fit 3 people max) the entire experience was just so cringeworthy. We stayed here because we like to have the suite experience, with two rooms but I should have looked harder.
This is a dated and old condo turned into a hotel. But it is perfect for a big family. We have stayed here many times because it is convenient and big enough for all of us. It has a small kitchenette with a few pots and pans for cooking. There is a pool with a hot tub that is fun for the kids. They do have a breakfast in the main part of the hotel. It does get crowded at certain times. There is a small game room that looks like fun be we have never had time to use it. The hotel is close to some hikes you can walk to and shopping and food. Some people may think this place is not what they are looking for but for us it is a great place to stay as we are out doing other things during the day.
Hotel offers free breakfast but charges $20 for parking, quite a few spaces available. Elevator barely fits 2 people outdated we rather took the stairs. We stayed in a 2 bed suite which we got upgraded too and the kitchen has new stove microwave and fridge. Rooms were clean and stocked no housekeeping unless requested. Location was unbeatable you have everything around you walking distance. Front desk personal might need a lesson on customer service upon check in and especially checkout the girl working seemed to just ignore as we walked in and pointed at the checkout box no thank you or even acknowledgment, kindness goes a long way.
The hotel is just a beautiful piece of property with great views. Prime location and close to the Nevada border. I love this place because it's in a perfect spot and everything you need is within walking distance. I just love Tahoe.
The hotel is new and beautiful. The rooms were extremely clean and well stocked, even the kitchen had everything we could potentially want! The bed was super comfortable, the heated floors in the bathroom were great.

Great experience. The hotel is well located near restaurants, supermarkets, shopping, and beaches/trails. The rooms were well remodeled and quiet. Check in was very modernized and easy, and the staff reached out the night before (and the day of) to m
We stayed in the Rubicon Room and it was lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was wonderful and we absolutely loved the lodge, the roaring fireplace, the big beams, and the gorgeous courtyard. Well worth it!
The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
The Mt. Tallac trail is an amazing trail to hike in Lake Tahoe. It isn't easy, about 4.5 miles from the trail head to the summit with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain. The second half of the trail is mostly all rock and is very steep in parts. The
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!
