Wow Kelsey was amazing!! Best front desk person EVER!!! I hope she gets paid $25 an hour!! George I want to say thank you so much for taking the time with our family to show us around! Sam thanks for helping out with the lockers!! Very clean place the kids look forward to this fun adventure and so do I! Best customer service in town!!
Kind staff - great programming - welcoming lobby, great childcare options, classes, sports. Lots of options for everyone in the family. Only lost one star for the occasionally packed gym floor and wish there were more open swimming hours where the water slide was actually open for my older swimmers.
Front of house staff is super nice. I have not had any real account problems, so I just wave as I walk by. I've been utilizing the subscription personal trainer program for a year now with Rob Hanson. We monitor progress through the body scanner system. Since joining last year, I've dropped 8%+ in body fat (~25lbs of fat loss), gained 5+ pounds of muscle, and am now in the best shape of my life. It's definitely yielded positive results in the dating world. Rob setup awesome programs for me in both exercise programs and nutrition advisement. He's really good at diffusing my anxieties about different equipment/exercises and gym norms (how to deal with people taking up equipment, interruptions, etc.) He took the time to coach me to grow vs. just throwing everything at me all at once. He's got amazing patience. I now feel extremely comfortable in being able to run in solo to get a good session in.
The gym itself is always being cleaned and it shows in how decent it always looks. The maintenance staff is awesome. If any equipment goes down, it's generally fixed within the week. It's not a norm for equipment to be down though. The daytime crowd is extremely casual, open, and fun to be around. Evenings can get busy with teenagers in the weight area on occasion. Not sure there's anything that can or should be done about that. I'd rather the kids be getting exercise than out in the streets causing problems. The Y does have staff keeping a good eye on the area to make sure it's not getting out of hand. Thanks to Rob, I'm still able to figure out a good routine to still get a good pump in amongst the crowd. The kids are generally respectful, and I have not had any actual issues with them other than the distractions/taken up equipment. It's a public gym, so you're going to have to deal with public.
It's definitely been worth the cost to get my life turned around for the better. All my numbers from my recent physical are significantly improved since last year. Couldn't be more thankful that I took the plunge.
The way you line up for pickle ball is prone to cheating…
Most places use the chairs as the line… at Forest Lake they put the paddles in a couple boxes, when I was there I was skipped over twice… a guy came in after me but played first, and a different time someone moved my paddle in the box…. Using the chairs as the line up for playing doesn’t have these problems…
You can also SEE who plays next, or you can separate yourself from other players that you might not want to play with…. They need to fix this.
It’s simple sit in the chair, move down when the next 4 get up to play.
I payed a lot of money for my paddle, I don’t like leaving it in the box or other people handling it.
I might add that sitting with different people while waiting in line is a social exercise, otherwise it seemed like all the women were sitting together and the guys were standing… one guy got up because he was in the middle of all the women, he went and stood with the guys…
When the chairs are the line, you always sit with new people.
Very well taken care of YMCA. The staff are always friendly. The facility is kept clean. Lockers rooms are well maintained. Classes are fun!
The best gym I've been to! Everyone is positive and helpful! Kids stuff(childcare) is the best, shout-out to Lulu and all the other wonderful staff, my kids love you all and we are beyond thankful for your hard work! All the staff in each department decorated a door and have a contest going on ! So fun. This is the "kids stuff" door!
I was considering a membership here so I went on a tour. There were children, tons of children, everywhere and the facility looked pretty nice. At the end of the tour the salesman gave me his card with his preferred pronouns on it. Disgusting. This supposedly, Christian association should be ashamed.
Today we arrived at a not so busy time so able to get a lap lane. The pool is great. Good life guards on duty.

Dropped in yesterday before our River trip. Jim the coach was so nice and welcoming. He introduced himself to our group and just made sure we didn't have any questions. The class was amazing! Such a fun class. Each member was so welcoming too. We wer
I drive 20 minutes to this place because the mexican food here is probably one of the best outside the cities. The salsa, the queso, the huge jugs of beer to the carna asada, it all tastes good and you get the authentic dishes full of flavors.
Grillium serves up unexpected eats like crispy cauliflower drizzled with sariracha, poutine loaded with bacon gravy and cheese curds, and gyros bursting with flavor. I devoured the poutine â think juicy pork, crunchy cheese curds, and gravy that'll
If you haven't treated yourself to Joy Garden.....what are you waiting for!
These are some of the nicest, hard working people I ve been lucky enough to stumble upon. Admittedly, I haven't eaten inside after 4PM, so I can't speak for the evening crew
I go to location practically everyday since moving to FL and this store doesn't get enough credit. The staff is amazing and even when they have a huge promotion day and they are backed up, you can tell they are trying there best and still want to cus
