Forbes Tavern - Restaurant in Pittsburgh - 310 Forbes Ave, USA

We were strolling downtown had just arrived and wanted solid drinks and a snack and stumbled upon Forbes and it was phenomenal!! From Austin, 5 wings for $7 was unheard of and so glad I got them. They also have really good ranch which if you know, you know. We had quite a few mint lemonades and they were yum!! The Buffalo flatbread was very good with a buttery crust- awesome. The French onion soup was easily the best part and wow blew me away! This place was perfect- dark, relaxing, cozy, a dive bar to catch up with a friend of 20 years. Highly recommend!!

Late night food! Wings are amazing! Brussel Sprouts were Amazing! Holiday Moscow Mule was literally the most amazing bartender/server I've had in the last few months. On top of that John, the GM, was bringing food and laughing with us as well. There were 4 Southwest Airlines crews in eating. We value customer service and they definitely had 5 star service! Looking forward to coming back!

They make some a really great old fashioned here. It was small inside, but I had no issues getting a table on a Sunday evening. We started with the fried goat cheese balls, and they were decent, but I'm not sure I'd try them again. We also tried the French onion soup, which was great. The Tavern burger and margarita pizza were both excellent. The hot sausage was good, but nothing to write home about. We would stop back in on our next trip.

We truly enjoyed this little spot. The smoked wings were phenomenal. The tavern burger was delicious. The location was a perfect distance from our hotel. They were packed, but the service was excellent. It has a great atmosphere and felt like a traditional pub.

Service was efficient for Friday before New Years. Friendly staff and great place to watch a game. Close to everything downtown and easy to find parking.

We enjoyed our dinner there. The space is so cozy and nice. You wouldn’t expect that place in downtown. The food was great, I got the Tavern Burger and it was really delicious. The sauce was so tasty. Definitely go back and try other stuff there!

Found this place while visiting from Indiana!!! You’re missing out if you don’t try the tavern man n cheese!! Gimlets/Tom Collins/ and Mint Lemonade are very excellent drinks as well!!! Highly recommend! Tv plays the top games on as well!

We had our holiday party at Forbes Tavern because we love the food there. Holly took care of our table of 12, she was very attentive and a lot of fun! All the food was fantastic- apps, salads and sandwiches were great. I love this place for their Reuben, and there were raves about their French Dip. GM Jonathan was very kind and helpful when I reached out to make the reservation too!
