The Absolute best there is! Do not settle for just mediocre, FOI is top notch with an unbelievable selection. Take a peek at the menu board, they aren’t playing around here, the sandwiches are legit.. a staple in the community serving up the best in Italian food has to offer. Everything is super fresh and finest quality. Order a Chicken or Eggplant Parm, guaranteed best you ever had.. Makes me hungry writing this…
This place is awesome. Have not gotten a bad sandwich there yet..breakfast..lunch..sausage to grill..whatever you need..amazing cutlets..sausage egg and cheese..love this place..

Coming here is like walking in and visiting family. We've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Pete is wonderful, kind, always welcoming and a great business owner. Anthony is so friendly and knows our orders by heart. This is the kind of treatment that you want! And the food - it is DELICIOUS! They make the best eggplant caponata there is. We eat it straight out of the container. The egg sandwiches have been our favorite for years - ham, egg & mozzarella and eggplant, egg & mozzarella. There is no where else like Foods of Italia. They always have very good cold cuts and specialty items throughout the store. If you haven't been, get there now!

I ordered the Italian Hero #50.. got my order very fast. And it was made exactly as i asked.. very tasty Hero.
BUT.. with 4 italian meats and provolone etc.. I didn't think it was even possible to make a sandwich so thin on meat with that many ingredients.. I actually took the meat from one half and put it together with the other half and that was delicious... I wish i took a picture..im sorry I didn't.. Now the quality was fresh and i only speak on the Italian Hero i ordered.. but folks if there was 1 slice less of meat.. it would have been a lettuce sandwich.
I really hope they take another look at whats going out.. I had high hopes i found my new Hero spot... but the #50 fell super short here...I so want to give this place another chance with a different sandwich.. I wish i had a better report on my #50 experience..

Awesome historical spot. Warm atmosphere with old Christmas cartoons projected in the wall, good music. Got to chop it up with one of the owners and he was a real good dude. I had two beers. Both were great. My only regret was not visiting this place

Great bands on display here every weekend in the Summer. A lot of talent around this part of the island. Great of the town for doing this. Been going for years and plan on going for many more.
As this was my first visit, I asked what they recommended... The grilled cheese pita burger was amazing! They make the buns fresh in house. Excellent. I got it with the extra patty, and spicy. Good choice!
