The carts at FoodMaxx are extremely sucky. The the owner should invest in new karts for a more pleasurable shopping experience. But I hear he's pretty cheap. Problem with that is we're the ones that have to suffer for his shrewd business model.

Hello HelloHello Hello

Hours are wrong. They close at 11pm & early on most holidays (like thanksgiving, closes at 6pm). But the staff are great with me, even helps me pay for my groceries every once in a while (if it's under $5, which is understandable but still very nice). 👍 Not sure what all the hate is about from these other reviews but it sounds like it was mostly the reviewers' fault (talking back, overreacting, obsessed about the little details that don't matter, etc.)

Two reasons why I stopped shopping at FoodMaxx at 565 East prater Way in Sparks one there was never a cashier at self-checkout. The store only had two cashiers . And ever anybody itself check out Another reason is the store manager. Several times when I was shopping there the store manager always seem to have an attitude towards me like it was an inconvenience to help you at self-checkout. If you had a problem, with the machine another reason several times when I went into the store to shop the vegetables didn't seem to be very fresh. Cucumbers were soft avocados after you purchase them and you cut them open a day later they were rotten Even when I purchase the grapes and got them home they felt like they already starting to rot

I worked there for 2 months? It was a horrible place to work, the manager, Wayne doesn't give one bit of care for his employees , they have other employees that dictate what shifts they'll work and don't lift a finger to help maintain the presence of the store , they have a few gems that do work there, Jen, Michael and Ernie, and for shopping....since they can't hire and keep a replenishing team, Ernie can only do so much, so shelves are thin, their self checkout is a nightmare, if it wasnt so conveniently located to me, being without transpotation at this time , I'd make the trip to go elsewhere. But Save Mart or higher ups should do some serious house cleaning starting at the top.

Decent store for warehouse style. Today there were better off brand options than I have found in the past.

Treated like a criminal. They locked the wheels of my cart right outside the door. Even though I had clearly just paid not 2 mins ago. A woman came out and asked for my receipt. I was angry but showed them my receipt. Then a man came out to make sure "everything was ok". Feeling threatened, I then just picked up my items and started walking to my truck. The man then yelled calling me inpatient as I was walking to my truck. As I was driving away the man called out again "YOUR A TOUGH GUY HUH?". I used some choice obscenities. It took all I had to not get out of my truck at that point. I've had nothing but bad experiences since this store became Food Maxx. The people you have working at this store constantly make me and other people I've talked to uncomfortable. Don't know the mans name. He was a balding white man. I have never been SO disrespected not mention threatened anywhere.

Prices are pretty decent. Only down side is there is always on one cashier to help the other is self check out. Try to go at certain times like early morning so it’s not as busy.

Lots of parking , including handicap. They had all the items I needed and then some. Speedy check out and self check out. You do bag your groceries.

Great place to get bargains, groceries and toiletries. Helpful employees with friendly service. I like their reasonable prices on meat (I paid $1.99/lb. today for boneless chicken breast). Some canned goods are cheaper than Dollar Tree, and produce
