Food Lion - Grocery store in Fuquay-Varina - 3417 N Main St, USA

Food lion is one of the best maintained and stocked grocery stores around. It's by far my favorite place to shop for groceries.

I am not a big fan of food lion. They charge you about as much as Harris Teeter, however their products, customer service, and store are not nearly as good. The only usefulness that this store offers to me is that it is only a couple minutes from my house. I would not recommend making this store your primary shopping place when there are many nicer stores arround.

Upon arriving to the check out the young lady with blue hair who didnt have a name badge on was having a conversation with her coworker. She never greeted, made eye contact nor smiled in any professional way, she kept scanning my groceries. Towards the end she had the nerve to continue asking her coworker questions that was not professional and before she could hand me my receipt she greeted the next person behind me which I thought was disrespectful. What makes me any different from the young lady behind me except for the color of my skin. If that’s the type of employees food lion are hiring I will no longer do business here because I felt very uncomfortable and disrespected.

Decent store. They could get a little more help though. 3 registers were open the day I went and there were massively long lines. Even in the 12 items or less line they had a slower staff member in that lane and it took a lot longer than it should've. Each lane had about 10 customers. The store itself isn't bad. They just needed more help on that day.

Great welcoming staff. Associates at this grocery store go out of the way to accommodate shoppers any way possible from small talk to location of store products. Proud to call this my neighborhood home store. See you soon...

It's generally easy to get in and out quickly during off hours. The main problem comes down to inventory. I have to go to other stores to get what's remaining on my list as they're always out of many of the items. Additionally quite often the lines at checkout get very long and you hear the cashiers talking to each other about how people aren't showing up to work and they're the only ones there.

This place continues to go downhill. "Adult" cashiers should remain at their register instead of gossiping with their friends where they cant see a line at their register, which had the light on. They should also refrain from throwing ANY item purchased in the cart. I have been shopping at this store fore over 10 years and I would be embarrassed knowing I had someone working for me, with this attitude. My interactions with some of the younger, newer staff has been fine .. most are helpful and polite.
