An attractive beach on the north shore of Lake Ponchetrain inside Fontainebleau State Park. We didn't stay long because of the cold weather. It was a wonderful place to view a spectacular sunset over the lake. There is a large pier you can walk along.
This State Park rarely disappoints! The sunsets here are the best in the area. The campground, minus the deer droppings, is always kept clean.
Good park with access to camp sites and bike trails and it has a good pier .
The public restrooms need some upkeep.
The entry fee is 3 usd per person.
Kids below 3 enter free.
Adults above 62 also enter free.
Folks can get the food and drinks including beer.
There is a water splash area for kids.
Parking can be tight at times.
The best beach in New Orleans. It was calm and peaceful to spend time.
Beautiful place, clean, relaxing. we love coming, you can bring your canine pets to play in the water or run in the sand!
Such a beautiful place to visit with friends and family. It will be a really good place for kids too. It has a shallow artificial beach. You can swim and play there. The sunset was so good to see. A place with the best scenery. Best place to relax and enjoy. And the entry fee is just $3. We didn't have time to check out the small water park or any trails. Definitely visiting again for that.

Went on the suggestion of a Nurse...this place is on a small street with parking across the street. Awesome service by Ally B. Service was impeccable. Food was picturesque...eggs benedict with fried eggplant was a real surprise. My favorites all in one plate. The Pecan pancakes were perfect, round and fluffy. Only the coffee was a bust...need something bolder for dishes like the ones served here. I will come back k for more.
I absolutely love this place! So nice, so clean and such a beautiful area! I just stayed here with my mother and sister. We dined at Pat Gallaghers 527 (make reservations) so good and 5 ð on that!

This state park is a treasure. A huge, brick pool house stands as an reminder of the state's history . Reportedly the park once had a public swimming pool, but filled it in response to desegregation . Now there is an odd span of grass and no swimming

We had dinner at Mandina's. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Great bar area with TV's to watch sports. Short wait for a table. Plenty of parking!
