Fondulac Park West - Featured Reviews (150)
Numerous mature trees (both deciduous and evergreen), a distinctive picnic shelter, a playground for the younger kids, an abundance of picnic tables and benches all located in a small city park located on top of a knob with views of the city below make this an enjoyable visit or picnic spot. (And that doesn’t even mention the permanent corn hole set up that put a smile on my face. Just remember to bring your own bags when visiting!)

East Peoria has a West Park. Now it just needs a North-named Coffeehouse and a South-named BBQ place.
East Peoria is a treasure trove for park lovers. This park happens to be an extension of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Park across the road. West Park is more isolated and quiet in comparison to VFW Park. It’s hidden behind nearly a 150 degree turn if you are driving up Springfield Road and even then, it’s tucked far enough back from the road to make it nearly invisible. Near the bottom of Springfield Road/Hill, there is a set of stairs built in to the hill that leads up to the park, should you want to get some exercise or enjoy walking up and down stairs.
There is a very nice pavilion with plenty of seating for birthday parties or corporate lunches. Next to that is a small playground with swings and interactive equipment. The pavilion has parking right next to it and plenty of it for how small and isolated it is.
Overall, this is a nice secluded park (if you exclude the two or so houses nearby) in which there shouldn’t be too many other people due to it’s location.
Short story time. My school bus used to go by this park and I was always curious where that hairpin turn took you. Fast forward to me being an explorer and I finally got to check it out. In fact, I started to utilize the stairs and the remoteness of the park as a training area for cardio with another friend. I was never able to fully run the stairs from bottom to top when I trained here. They are brutal.
Park at the top (or walk up the stairs for a workout 💪) to a very nice, green, hilltop. Lots of room for picnics, also bathrooms, playground, and greenspace. Nice to be a bit secluded here as well.
Well maintained and lots of shade. My grandfather used to take care of this park when I was young and we had family get togethers there for birthdays and other special occasions. Many fond memories. It has changed alot in 50+ years, but the old pavilion is still there. The huge shade trees are one of the best features of the park. They have updated play equipment for the kids and plenty of picnic tables. A great place to go to had some peace and quiet with your dog. My favorite park in East Peoria.
Such a beautiful place! This part has a nice playground and a large pavilion. It is a great place for a reunion or party. Grace Messianic Fellowship uses it for their meetings on Saturdays in the summer.
It was pretty but there's alot of stairs and its on a tall hill
Great place to get some steps in (literally). Took my kids there and got some great pictures of them.
We love the dog park! We drive from Dunlap to hang out with Jessie, Cabo, Mya, Murdock, Macy, and Molly, among others! :-D

We had a great first time at this park! It was a hot day on our visit but there are several shaded spots. Beware of the turkey! It âbitâ my toddler through the fence, but he was totally fine. Iâm sure it was just used to people feeding it throu

I love Crumbl cookies they are so good. The price actually good for that big of a cookie. Ever since I heard that they were opening I went and got a strawberry cheesecake cookie and it was fantastic. I recommend people to go to Crumbl when they can.
Costco is great for buying in bulk. I like buying paper towels and toilet paper. The prepared meals such as chicken fettuccine alfredo fajita kit, lasagna and more are very good and fresh heat and eat meals under 20.00. The pastries are delicious and
Badass gym. Nothing fancy, but they got everything you can want out of a gym. Never crowded, Open 24/7, 2 locations, and affordable. Plus the culture is awesome, both the members and managers are friendly
