I can’t say enough about the Folkestone Inn. From the minute we arrived we felt welcome. Toni and Scott were amazing and the Inn was so cozy! They had everything you could need to feel at home. We stayed in the Farmhouse suite and it was decorated so wonderfully. The bed was comfy and the fireplace was great! Let’s talk breakfast! What a delicious delight! Scott is a fabulous chef and the food was amazing! We wish we didn’t have to leave. We will definitely be back. Can’t wait till they put out their cookbook!! Thanks for a great stay!
We enjoyed our New Year's Eve weekend in the mountains at our FAVORITE bed & breakfast, The Folkestone Inn. It is the ideal base camp for hiking, biking, relaxing and enjoy a quaint mountain village with an array of food/drink/shopping. As always the breakfasts are AMAZING and you won't be hungry again until dinner -that's a PROMISE! We have been coming here for more than 25 years and it never disappoints. We highly recommend this mountain getaway!
My husband and I have been going to the Folkestone for over 5 years. Sometimes twice a year. Scott and Toni are amazing at all that they do. They are so welcoming and you can tell they love what they do. Scott’s breakfast is delicious! The property is so beautiful and relaxing. We have stayed in several rooms and it has become hard to pick a favorite. The Inn is always clean and cozy. We continue to tell all of our friends and family about The Folkestone! It is the best place to stay in Bryson City. You are so close to everything in town and outdoor activities.
This is the best place to stay in the entire region! The property (be aware it is a farmhouse with chickens and the neighboring property has cows) is beautifully situated and is very peaceful. The breakfast each morning may be the best I have ever had at any B&B and served in an intimate dining room that is light and airy. Our linens rivaled the best 5 star hotels, from the bedding to the towels. Our room (The Farmhouse) was very spacious and had a nice small siting area where we comfortably could sit each morning and enjoy coffee with a view to the outside grounds. An inviting place to return each day after adventuring in the area. Only 1/4 mile form a hidden National Park gem is Deep Creek, with various trails and waterfalls to enjoy.||We had reasonable cell reception on Verizon but the WiFi was bit sketchy at times. No worries, we did not go here to spend our time connected and worrying about the world bu to get some peaceful recharging of our batteries. Do yourself a favor and book a room, Toni and Scott were fantastic hosts. We will be going back in the future.|
An absolutely wonderful retreat. The location is perfect near the GSNP and the sweet town of Bryson City. The accommodations are just lovely, interesting and peaceful. The hosts are a pleasure to speak with and superb chefs - best breakfasts ever. Highly recommend a stay here, any time of year. |
My wife and I enjoyed our stay so much. This old farmhouse reminded me so much of my grandparents house and the decorations brought back so many wonderful memories. The breakfast was awesome! We will never forget their hospitality.
Folkstone Inn is a wonderful historic bed & breakfast in Bryson City, NC. The owners are warm and welcoming. Our room was delightfully decorated in a bright and colorful bird theme. The bed was comfortable, the breakfasts were gourmet delights. The owners were helpful in their recommendations for sites to see, meals to eat and recreation spots to visit. We will return.
The Inn was so charming, welcoming, festively decorated for the holidays, and room was so comfortable. The breakfast was incredible with fresh eggs from the sweet front yard chickens. Highly recommend Live music downtown.

While vacationing in North Carolina, we booked a fishing trip with Fontana Guides and it was the best decision we made. Captain James made our trip unforgettable that was filled with fishing, swimming and cruising on the beautiful Fontana Lake with b
We were walking around downtown Bryson City and popped in to check out the adjoining store and were immediately greeted with the amazing smells permeating from this place. We ordered a few of their freshly prepared items and they truly hit the spot.

The walk up to the dome is a steep paved road; they do have benches periodically for the people who need to stop and rest. It is worth the hike, you will not be disappointed! Gorgeous views! Also you can hike the Appalachian trail, look for the sign.
A beautiful picnic spot with numerous tables, clean restrooms, and ample parking. Well maintained and easily accessible. We were able to spend some amazing time there for the lunch break while we were traveling to Gatlinburg. Must be preferred rath
Delicious experience! Knowledgeable and kind staff and an excellent menu. My smokey fog was beautifully balanced and my husband's Appalachian magic was a peanut butter lovers dream. I don't have words for our bagels except that it was a spiritual exp
We had a great time here with friends. They have a great drink selection with a great atmosphere. The place is sorted divided with still having an open concept were you can enjoy, live music and dancing or you can have more of a quaint setting area
We come here every year. Our trailer is 33 feet so we park up on the hill, which is perfect. Youâre still close to the river, but have more space and the sunrise and sunset is beautiful. The campground is family owned and they are the kindest peopl
