Love this place. Beautiful pools, clean & well maintained facilities and a friendly & helpful staff. Highly recommended for training and events of all levels. Hope to come back again soon.
Excellent facility for training. Visited from out of state and needed a spot to do daily swim workouts. Facility was wide open Friday morning and Sunday afternoon for several hours of swimming; despite a couple youth practices going, there was ample lane space. Great placement of clocks for LCM and really cool atmosphere. Will surely be back!
The facility is gorgeous and well designed. The 3 star review is earned by the ABSOLUTE LACK OF ADEQUATE PARKING! They have seating for 1000 spectators, and parking for 100 cars.
Gigantic swim/dive/water polo facility. Very clean, well run/organized. They need to not allow dropping students at fronts doors from cars. Too dangerous for children crossing parking lot and causes traffic jams every event.
My child takes private lessons and all of the coaches have been great. I do, however, have issues with the facility itself.
The family bathrooms are usually really dirty. The water from the showers does not drain well, so there are puddles all over the floor, filled with hair and sometimes even toilet paper. I don’t think the restrooms are being adequately cleaned.
The same goes to the area in front of the entrance to the training pool. There are always puddles there and there is no any sort of drain. My kid slipped and fell already a couple of times in that area.
Love this place! I can always count on enjoying watching my kids compete in lane swimming and water polo here. It’s comfortable for a spectator and I feel it’s one of the best competition pools in the country.
The facilities themselves are very nice. Big, new pool. Nice display board. Unfortunately, the planning team didn't accomodate enough seating or parking for big events such as state championships. 1/3 of all seating was blocked off for swimmers. Parking is also pretty horrible. For a facility with this capacity, they need a parking structure, not just couple small lots that hold maybe 50 cars each. Yes, there's street parking, but walking half a mile from your car to the place in 20 degrees is not ideal. They could have done better.
Overall, I'd give FMC Natatorium a five star rating. They have a wonderful location (about an hour away from O'Hare, a major travel hub), and thirty minutes from where I live. They have the capability to switch from a twenty-five yard SCY pool to a fifty meter LCM pool. Wonderful facility overall!

Great food and drinks! We got the flatiron and the shrimp poâboy and enjoyed both very much. Service was spectacular. We also got a lavender 75 and apricot sour to drink and enjoyed the drinks as well!
