The location was absolutely perfect! Lots of restaurants and right on the Riverwalk with water taxi stops and parks. Great people watching. The unit was good. There was plenty of space and it was just as advertised. The only real issue was the train noise, which came through at various times of the day and through the night. The ear plugs they provided at bedside were very helpful. The front desk lady was less than friendly and we were hoping we wouldn’t need to ask her for any assistance during our stay. I’ll definitely be booking future trips, likely a larger unit for my family, in the future.
The room was great except it was on the 3rd floor and the train passes every so often blowing its horns. If you a light sleeper it will wake you out of your sleep. My room refrigerator was on coldest but never got cold. Other than that the hotel was great. The pool are is shared with the residents of the neighborhood building but the residents are all amazing and friendly.
If your only criteria is saving money, perhaps this place is for you. If however you value cleanliness, customer service, and the ability to hear yourself think over the extraordinary and relentless noise from the 24 hour trains running outside, you should consider a different place. I was asked for a review by the management, but you can’t see it on the Sonder website, and I suspect that’s by design. That is why I decided to write a review here. |Our 2 bedroom/2 bath condo was so filthy that we had to wash our feet before getting into bed at night. There was really no point in asking Housekeeping to come in and do a proper cleaning, because it required a deep scrubbing, not just wet mopping the floor. |The building is located directly next to a set of train tracks that are used by commuter and freight trains 24 hours a day. The constant noise is enough that this alone is reason to never go there.|My main concern though was the lack of helpful communication from staff members. Every simple question we asked was met with blank stares and one word answers that never fully answered our questions (“can we get more toilet paper? Do you provide pool towels?). |We were frustrated well beyond what would be expected in a large hospitality based building. |There were more instances of lack of training for different problems, but you get the picture.|I simply cannot recommend this place.
One of our favorite getaways. This was our first experience with Sonder; we enjoyed it so much we’ve now tried out numerous other locations in the US and abroad. They do not disappoint. Sonder Riverwalk is in the perfect location! Easy walkability to many shops, restaurants, and attractions. The rooms are spacious and modern and we love that they have balconies and washer and dryers! The amenities are also fabulous. The gym has everything you need and the pool provides the ultimate relaxation. If you’re looking for a trendy and spacious home away from home, this is the spot for you!
We read a lot of negative reviews about the noise from the trains, especially at night. While you definitely notice the noise, the noise machine and earplugs they provide help that significantly. I think all of the amenities included in this place definitely outweigh the noise from the trains. The pool was beautiful, there was a cafe and bar right by the pool. Beautiful gym. The apartment had a washer and dryer, all cooking utensils and a large balcony. The location is also near everything you would need. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance as well as a Publix with liquor store. Most nights we enjoyed sitting outside, watching the big yachts go down the river and a few trains. We will absolutely be back at Sonder Riverwalk.
Sonder Riverwalk was a really nice property. The room was pretty clean, comfortable bed, and beautiful rooftop pool. The location is perfect and is within a 15 minute walk to the heart of Las Olas. The only negatives were the $40/day parking, 1 working elevator for 33 floors (never waited too long for it though), and the floor of the room could’ve been a bit cleaner. There are a lot of people that mention the train outside and although you can hear it from the rooms, it’s really not that loud and never once woke me up in the middle of the night. Would stay here again.
We loved everything about our stay. Location. The room was roomy and plentiful of needs. Very clean. We loved seeing the bridge opening up for trains and boats from our balcony. Magnificent shower! Julio at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Those whiney people who complained on yelp were silly. Sorry this location is closing. We would be back. Thank you.
Great little place to crash while seeing a show downtown. Rooms were very clean, pool area was pretty sweet with great city views. Walking distance to the historical part of town and to various venues around. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in town.
