Very nice motel. It’s nestled in a quiet little area of Florence. First thing I saw was a family of deer just beyond the parking area. That area is well lit and getting from your vehicle to your room is easy. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. They have nice size beds that sleep very well along with a nice bathroom, mini refrigerator and a decent size microwave. There is also temperature controls in the room that worked very well and my entire stay was peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The staff are extremely friendly. I stayed there on my way to relocating from CO to AZ (Room 120) and upon arrival in AZ is realized I had left my prescription reading glasses in my room. I called today and spoke the Chris (the GM) and he said he’d gladly be able to mail them to me at my new address in AZ. The whole staff is like that. (Thank you, Chris. You’re a lifesaver!) Nice “small town” atmosphere to stay in while you’re visiting or passing through Florence in the Rockies. What more could you ask for? Cheers
this hotel is ok if you are looking for a good night sleep. Beds were comfy and room was clean but it is a basic hotel. Needs some updating as carpet in hallway is old and fan in bathroom wasn't working. There was some mold around the tub where there was previous leak. It was quiet though and the lady at the front desk was friendly. No breakfast, just coffee and granola bar.
I give this place a NEGATIVE 5…but was forced to give 1 star. .it’s disgusting and needs to be shut down. There are broken down vehicles in the parking lot and it looks like a homeless shelter. The front desk smelled like alcohol and the rooms smelled like urine. I couldn’t stay in the room for more than an hour. I opted to sleep in my car in town.
My boyfriend and I were able to book a room the same day. The front desk agent was super nice. The motel itself was clean and comfortable; it has everything you need for an overnight stay. We drove though Canon City - a super cute town that's close to visit. My boyfriend left his beloved pillows in the room - the same agent was willing to ship the pillows from CO to TX without hesitation. Great customer service!! I would definitely stay here again for the price and hospitality. Thank you guys so much!
Check in went great, check in clerk pet policy, breakfast time, and what was going to be there. They have room coffee maker and supplies available but you have ask for them..||Room was reasonable clean. There was not many people staying here, until Friday night It has great access off a highway and only a mile from town, which has great restaurants. |I had a nice view of the foothills from my room. I did hear the train in town when I was awake but only when the TV was off||The bad, the shower tub loudly squawked while using it, which seems to be a super 8 tub thing, as I've had others make this noise, just not this loud. The breakfast was coffee and gronola bars. Juice machine was "broken" according to the sign, i really figure they just didn't buy any supply. The pass through from the rooms to the front desk was marked off as it looks like the floor was caving in from what looks like water damage. ||Check out went well. Honestly this isn't a bad place...they need a few options for breakfast.
I feel awful leaving such a bad review but never have I stayed at a hotel where I literally couldn’t stay any longer and drove home in the middle of the night. I know it’s a Super 8, but the room smelled like urine so bad I opened the windows and turned on the AC. I just felt disgusting and had to leave. When we were checking in they told us that if you’re a local they put a $300 hold on your card because “the locals destroy the rooms”. Well, I think they need a deep cleaning, absolutely disgusting.
Some of the associates were extremely friendly when helping assist us. This stay was nice and a good price under $80 a night isn't bad price wise. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms have the ability to heat. Which for some people is needed. Overall this was a good experience, except for the misfortune that the sink in our bathroom was clogged. The good comes with the bad though. We happened to lose one of our Passports. But thankfully the front desk associates held it for us. Room service is semi lax. There is a guest laundry for a $1 per load. The dryer didnt happen to be working, but the associates offered us their in house dryer.
What has the world come to? To treat those in need so poorly because they are in need? To flat out refuse to accept thousands of dollars for what?
An amazing place in time. Nicole and Jeff are amazing hosts. Their hospitality is effortless and without arrogance or pretense. They are proud of what they have built and would like nothing more than to share it with others. They simply love to shar
I stopped here for breakfast, which they just began serving recently. It was super yummy, good coffee, and reasonable prices! Appreciated Gary taking the time to sit down and chat with me as well. Definitely a great spot to eat in Florence
