FLORADORA HOUSE (formerly Rio Grande B&B) - Bed & breakfast in Glenwood Springs - 1020 Colorado Ave, USA

This b&b is in a great location, and our room (the Garden suite) was pleasantly decorated. However, we chose this property specifically because of the reviews of the wonderful full breakfasts. Since we knew that there were some dates--not including the date of our one-night stay--when only a continental breakfast (yogurt parfait and baked good) would be provided, my husband verified when he made our reservation over that phone with the proprietor that a full breakfast would be provided. When we checked in, however, we found in the room one notice saying that there were no full breakfasts on Fridays--not applicable, as we were not there on a Friday--and another notice saying that the breakfast would be a yogurt parfait and baked good. This was not what we were promised, and we were relying on having a full breakfast before a long day of driving. The price we paid would have been reasonable if a full breakfast had been included--but it wasn't.

Perfect place for a stay in Glenwood Springs! Close to everything, also safe and quiet. Super cozy, but I can't say enough about the VIEW. We stayed in the Colorado suite and it was the best view to wake up to in the mornings. Make sure you stop by Deja-Brew right up the street and around the corner the coffee is amazing, and thats coming from a barista. They also have great gluten free treats!

I loved everything about this B&B. First, the bed - super comfortable and plenty of pillow choices - I'm a huge fan of feather pillows and this B&B had one. I slept super well every night. The internet access was fast. TV perfectly situated and had all the channels I needed. The breakfast was the HIGHLIGHT. I'm currently on a heart healthy food regiment and it was easily accommodated. Ryan (house manager) was super, super INCREDIBLE. I've already started planning my trip back for next June with friends. ||This B&B is easily walking distance to some incredible food, beer and the train station. They have Friday Night concerts and a weekday farmers market.

Friendly owners, great location that is walking distance to downtown, the hot springs and many other points of interest. A+ all around!

We stayed here three days and had full and different breakfasts everyday. I especially liked the veggie ham omelette and Italian style fried potatoes, perfectly seasoned. The location enabled us to walk everywhere we needed to; the river walks were beautiful. Our favorite restaurant, Riveria Scratch Kitchen was 4 blocks away. We love spending time to explore the residential neighborhoods many having fabulous flower gardens and some with raised-bed vegetable gardens. Glenwood Springs has a lot to offer for all ages and I am glad the Floradora was there for us.

We stayed in the Rio Grande room and it was amazing!! We really enjoyed our stay. My wife and I have visited Glenwood Springs multiple times and this was by far the best. The owners and inn keepers were fantastic. So accommodating and helpful! The rooms are super clean and quaint. The house is a 100 year old Victorian that has an amazing feel and is beautiful. The house is close to down town the river, great hiking trails and bike path. It's walking distance to great shopping and restaurants. Great view of the mountains and super quiet. We will be back for sure!! We loved our time!

This B&B is in a beautiful neighborhood, with lovely flowers and trees, and is within walking distance of old Glenwood Springs. Breakfasts were delicious and ample.||However, we wanted to eat earlier than 9am so we could go biking/hiking before it got too warm. When I texted the (absentee) owner, she said that an earlier serving time was not possible. Totally unexpected in an outdoor-oriented vacation town.

Our stay at the Rio Grande B&B far exceeded my expectations. Our room was upstairs and was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was beautiful and even had heated floors. We had a spacious sitting room which was great to relax at the end of the evening. The hosts provided many comforts to make our stay enjoyable including freshly baked cookies, a container of bleach wipes (during Covid this was especially important!), a tote bag of beach towels for the Glenwood Hot Springs, and more. The breakfast was absolutely incredible! The quality and quantity was exceptional. The orange creme brûlée was my favorite! It is also conveniently located, and it is easy to walk into town or to the hot springs. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Glenwood! I highly recommend staying here!
