So I decided to treat myself to an evening out with some good food. This was a wonderful dining experience. 1st, I was warmly greeted by the staff, they all had genuine pleasant expressions. I went to the bar because I was eating alone. My barkeep Shannon was very attentive, gave great suggestions, and treated me like I was the only person there. She made sure to update me as to the status of my meal while in preparation, even though it didn't take long at all. She was a true professional. Now on to the food, I had the salmon. It was wonderfully seasoned and prepared to the perfect medium. The drinks and desert were good supporting cast to the meal. One thing I must mention in this review was the attention to detail made by who I assume was a manager (pictured). I saw him patiently instruct the staff how to present a dish to the diner so that it was most aesthetically pleasing. This impressed me as much as anything else. I recommend stopping by if you're in the area early but make a reservation if you plan to visit later in the evening. Overall my experience here was 5 star affair!!!
Was there for Cathead distillery's cocktail competition. The food was amazing and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Their cocktails were absolutely delicious! A must check out in Davidson!
Updating a previous review: We live in the lovely town of Davidson. We’ve been here many times since we relocated from Michigan nearly 4 years ago. We usually request outdoor seating, but last night it was too hot. My husband Pete always loves to try many dishes. We ordered the Rainbow Trout last night & the Red Curry Mussels. I’m always happy to dip bread into some kind of sauce. Yum! My husband also loves pork belly so he enjoyed the wraps. Christopher brought out some risotto for me to try. It is rich with it’s buttery texture. I suggest sharing! I say order many dishes & share! Flatiron is a must! I also suggest a stroll through town and the DAVIDSON College to walk it off. Enjoy!
Pretty good! I generally like the space, the all-around bar area, open kitchen with some nice light wood smoke smell. Food is great, no complaints there. Mussels starter - they were quite plump and tender when I popped in. Chicken breast with madeira sauce entrée was nicely prepared; tender and flavorful rather than dry and stringy. Pretty good beer selection, bourbons, etc. I'm honestly not sure why it only feels like a 4/5 to me rather than a 5/5. Maybe something a little lacking for overall character vs. other nice places in and around Davidson. Still, I'd happily go back!
Excellent dining experience. Great atmosphere and polite staff. Very happy with the quality of the food. The bathrooms were clean. Seemed to be a mixup with an appetizer that never came out. Just forgot about it. No worries, turns out the dinner was plenty of food. We were just looking forward to trying the pork belly wraps. Maybe another time.
I've eaten here multiple times now and each time I had a great experience. The smoked salmon bruchetta and the mussels are a MUST try! So good! Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their meals, my uncle even said it was the best pork chop he's ever had. Love the vibe here! Will keep coming back!
Food took forever and was cold. I ordered my steak medium well and there was blood dripping out. I don't mind it being pink, but I don't want to have blood mixed with my mashed potatoes. In their defense, we had 16 people and I don't think this place is really set up or designed for larger parties. It might have been a different outcome if I had been there with a smaller group, but the food did not wow me and I have no desire to return. I am from out of town, but would not recommend for anyone who is not a seafood or mushroom fan as most of the food contains one or both of them. If you like them, or medium taste steaks, then this might be your jam. The woman next to me got the sweet potato fries, and those were tasty. Just not worth the amount of money the meal cost, in my opinion.
This restaurant is one of if not the best restaurant I’ve been to. Every single time I visit the food, the atmosphere, the service is impeccable. The head chef has curated a very delicious menu. I have not had a single thing that I did not like. I highly recommend the bruschetta and crab hush puppies to start and then you cannot go wrong with any of their entree choices. To finish off the meal their homemade bread pudding is a must. I highly recommend this restaurant to any locals or people visiting the area. I’ve never had a bad experience and you will not be disappointed

Stumbled on this place after eating brunch at North Harbor Club. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We purchase two wine bottles and are very excited to try them. They had a lot of other fun stuff for the house or as gifts. Check them out whe
Great place to grab a drink, hang out and chat. Nice, though small inside space, with out door seating too. Limited food options, but good charcuterie board available if you are hungry.
An oasis of peace. Weâve been living in Davidson nearly 4 years. My husband suggested a walk in nature this morning, and it was exactly what I needed. We saw some people putting their mountain bikes back up on their car racks. They had just had an
