This place is a vastly different experience than what we read reviews of. For the price you pay, you are most certainly not getting fresh ingredients. My fiance ordered the lamb rack and it lacked overall flavor even with the sauce. I had ordered the scallops and they tasted no different from what you could purchase frozen from Costco, defrost, and cook yourself at home. Our bread rolls were stale. The risotto was slightly undercooked and by the time it came to the table was lukewarm. Despite the lack of freshness it was overall edible and plated well but not what I expected given the $35+ median price per entree. Looking around the restaurant there was a lack of cleanliness around, cobwebs in the corners, bathroom was not clean and the womens restroom apparently did not flush. During our dinner I could also consistently hear a smoke alarm somewhere beeping (like when the battery needs to be changed) which was incredibly distracting. This was in addition to an overall lack of care from our waitress who paid us very little attention, and consistently reached over our table to refill our waters, not even asking if I wanted a refill so I could move my glass over! Never once asked us how the food was, or checked in and when it came to dessert, just slapped down the menu and walked away. For a $150 plus bill (1 app, 2 entrees, 1 cocktail) I expected more bang for my buck.

We used to go there once or twice a month as you can eat well with a good bottle of wine at a good price point. They have a bar with an excellent services and a cute, romantic small sitting area available to dine without reservation. So best is to make a reservation in the main room but if a bar table is available, then we sit there. Food is good and well priced. The wine list has good selection at the lower end of the price list(Mark Ryan, De Lille, etc…). They have changed the menu over the years with some items staying there consistently ( like the stuffed dates). We do miss the truffle fries with were really good. The flank steak is a good well priced option. Lately, the restaurant hasn't been attracting much people. It would be nice for them to refresh a bit the main room. In summer, it is great as they have a big terrace and the area, Gilman village is great. However, overall the setting both inside (main room) and out needs a refresh to create a better ambiance, atmosphere. It feels as if the leadership lost focus on this one and put everything on their other properties. Also, last time we came, there was only couple people in the restaurant and when we came without reservation at 7PM, they told us they were closing early due to lack of people.

Seated at 7:20, ordered at 7:30, waitress brought bread a few minutes later then never came back. started wondering what was going on around 7:50, but no big deal, we are enjoying talking to our oldest daughter. decided to flag someone down just as our waitress shows up at 8:05 to apologize that she never put in our order. Not a busy night, plenty of staff walking around and talking to each other at the bar, nobody seemed to notice or care that we were sitting with bread and water (dry Jan) for close to 40 minutes. At that point we didn’t have enough time to wait for our order, had to get up and leave. First time trying this place, won’t try again. Great bread and water though.

Great food and customer service! Came here for dinner and we got here late, like 20 mins before closing but they still sat us and let us order dinner. We had done well made drinks to start then delicious oysters on the half shell for an appetizer. We both had the filet for dinner that came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The steaks were cooked perfectly and had a delicious sauce as well. We also had dessert, shared a cast iron cookie with ice cream that was delicious too. What a great experience, we will definitely be back.

Great date night place. Good ambiance, good food, and good wine. They even helped with a custom cocktail when they didn't have what I ordered (ginger beer mojito). The appetizers are very tasty! We ended up getting multiple flavorful appetizers rather than an entree.

Another impromptu decision on where to have dinner! We found ourselves arriving on a Friday right at 5 o'clock,.though we had called ahead to find out about the wait. "No wait," for a table of 2 anyway. Cool. Walked in. Greeted promptly. Offered happy hour seating in bar area but decided on main dining room. Sat at one of those counter top height tables, but the chairs were padded so they were actually comfortable, even with an arthritic hip situation. They do have regular tables, and even have high chairs for any kiddies in tow. We started with ice water, had some iced tea and a cocktail, then ordered a cheese plate that promised cheese, crackers and a little fruit jam. Okay. We got that. The cheese was decent but the crackers were sad broken bits, a handful at that, with no special array or garnish. Ahem. The meal though. There is where this place did a solid. The filet arrived perfectly cooked, nestled on a bed of mashed potatoes and a careful array of asparagus. The flat iron steak atop an interesting interpretation of polenta with salsa-ish garnish was less lovely, more rustic. Now taste. Flavorful and not needing any salt - rather a good, pleasant taste. Happy surprise! Why only 4 stars? The appetizer seemed like a careless, vague thing, unworthy of being on the menu when the entrees are quite nice. The temperature inside the place was hot, hot, even though an air con unit was visible but apparently unused on this 90 degree day. On the plus side, though, staff seems well trained and without any bias toward the variety of customers. And, bonus! They do have shaded or sunny areas on their outdoor patio. All in all, a nice place.

Have been here a few times and inconsistency is the real issue. Have had wonderful steaks and overcooked poor quality. Last night in particular we asked for medium-rare and were served well done NY steaks with lots of crunchy tendon (not just fat). Server never checked on us, someone else brought it out (honestly, felt scoffed at when asking if they had mocktails so maybe thats why our service ended). We also had to ask for bread, as that didn’t come out either. The table across from us sent their soups back.

A hidden brunch gem in issaquah, so much so that i almost want to gatekeep it. They provide delicious table coffee cake. All the food we ordered was delicious! I loved the french toast. Cocktails were yummy. Atmosphere is peaceful which is a nice departure from crazy loud brunch places. The service is friendly!
