Five columns is my go-to neighborhood restaurant when I want to relax. They have such a relaxed vibe and it really feels like a family run restaurant (because it is)! I think that's another thing that I love about it. Soula knows exactly who we are and it's only one of two restaurants in town where you feel welcomed into their space because they remember and know you. I love the ambiance, the color they use in their décor, the giant tree in the middle of the restaurant, and my favorite aspect is how CLEAN it is there. You cannot say that about many places these days. I'm not exaggerating when I say you could probably eat off the floor there. The floor never has any leftover food under the table from the last guests, everything is wiped clean, and you can tell there is a sense of pride in their ownership there. I feel strongly that that feeling transfers into the food a person cooks and that is also apparent at Five Columns. I will add more photos over time, but most recently we went back for breakfast after our dinner there the evening before. I love eggs benedict and theirs has a delightfully fresh hint of lemon in their homemade hollandaise sauce. The hashbrowns are cooked perfectly and portions are generous with all of their meals. My partner had the salmon eggs benedict & loved his as well. For dinner, you can't beat the Greek salad here and the saganaki (flaming cheese) dish that they light at the table. The humous is creamy in texture and not dried and pasty like other places. For entrees, we usually order from a few things we love, but I really like their pasta dishes. Don't forget to leave room for Greek desert though because their bogatsa is amazing. It's a cinnamon vanilla custard inside a phyllo dough pocket and a perfectly sized desert to end with. I have to give one last shoutout to the owners at Five Columns because they went above and beyond with a request of mine in the past where they specially-made my favorite Greek dish for me - pastitsio. It's usually only offered once a year with a special and they made it on a special order for me. Five Columns has very friendly service, good food, relaxing atmosphere, and I highly recommend frequenting their establishment. If you go around Christmas time, they give these little cards inviting you back in January. You open the card in January at your table and there is a fun surprise inside. This year we won $50 off our meal- the grand prize! There were 4 of them out there & it was so cool to win. What a fun way to bring us back in again.

Had something quite different from my norm for breakfast - gyro meat, mushroom, tomato, feta omelet. Quite good. Service was excellent. Pleasant smiles from every staff member I encountered. Definitely will return there for lunch or dinner.

Wifey and I needed a serious break from the stress. We decided to stop in and from the moment I walked in I was sold. Well lit, pleasant atmosphere, and immediately greeted by our waitress who sat us down, asked for drinks. She was always smiling and had a positive energy. We ordered the fried cheese...best we've ever had! Then we ordered...she got the Lamb chops, I ordered the gyro with chicken and pilaf. The tzatziki sauce was incredibly tasty, the pilaf was nicely seasoned, and the chicken was spot on. At one point the waitress checked in and wifey told her , "I wanna kiss the cook!" Hands down, if you want fantastic Mediterranean fare, THIS...IS...THE..PLACE!! We are definitely coming back without question.

My wife and I have been here to eat several times . The food is always great and the service is with a smile too ! As it was again last night , I had the lamb chop / rib special & my wife had the chicken, Parmesan Alfredo ! Food was excellent !!! Highly recommend this restaurant. : - ) So a follow up : we returned to eat our anniversary dinner and what a treat . I ate the rib steak topped with mushrooms and garlic prawns !! Oh man !!! Not a lot of mom&pops score a 5☆ but this is one of the few ... avgolemono was just the right amount, lemon-peppery with soft rice ... I got the Lamb chop of the dinner menu, even though it was lunchtime, ... grilled medium rare with rice ... one very tasty production.

I had never been to this restaurant before and honestly didn't really want to have dinner here but we were being invited for dinner so we didn't really get to choose where to go. After looking over the menu a few times I almost didn't even want to order anything just because I was afraid to try something new and because I am not used to eating at such pricey restaurants. My kids had a burger with fries and they really enjoyed their burgers which was surprising coming from my youngest since he isn't much of a burger person sometimes. My bf and I both ordered steak and potatoes with a side of salad. My brother ordered the feticichini alfredo with shrimp added to it. Everyone enjoyed their meals including me. The service was ok. Once we arrived I had seen how my brother was already drunk and so I was very disappointed in the waitress so still served him another 2 glasses of wine instead of cutting him off. I don't think I would ever person go choose to go back to eat here unless I were to get invited here again.

Relaxed yet class place. Good family atmosphere, the tree in the center makes a nice setting, and good mediterranean food. The Greek Burger is a really good burger. Baked Spaghetti is recommended too. They have all the Greek classics, spanakopita was my daughter's favorite. I've been to almost all of the restaurants in Bellingham when I visit her, from the burger joints to higher end, this is easily one of the best places in town.
