Fish Place - Seafood restaurant in La Marque - 925 Texas Ave, USA

Place was bright and inviting have music and DJ on Thursday and fridays. Fried shrimp and onions rings were very good. Our waitress was friendly and informative casual fun for drinks and music and snacks. The place was fairly empty then only a few more customers came in and the smell of smoke was overpowering I’m glad we were finished if you don’t like cigarette smoke the I suggest you go elsewhere. It is a really cool pot tap with pretty good food period the staff our friendly, however, a little under par. They are attentive and do a great job. The atmosphere is far more bar, than sit down restaurant and the staff often appear to be distracted by their phones or their own conversations. Despite this slight annoyance the food is good the drinks are well made and the cop at night instills a sense of safety (yet creates thoughts of of hmmmm why is he here). The manager is amazing friendly and runs a tight ship. So just don't be discouraged by the staff attire or subtle distracted demeanor and stop in for a taste of local cuisine. This post is just a heads up for the expected and to prevent expectation resulting in a bad review. The staff are all sweet and accommodating, maybe Waning in some measures but exceeding in others. Give it a shot just expect a mom and pop vibe.

Great fish and chips. Love the shrimp. Never disappointed. I typically have Fish Place delivered for lunch at work, and it always here quickly. The snapper is good, and they have great rice and beans.

We took my mother in-law to dinner for her birthday and the food was awful. It was five of us and not one of us liked our meals. My daughter had the gumbo. She ate one spoonful and said it was awful. I know that if she didn't eat her food, something was wrong. My food and my mother in-laws food came out cold. The remaining four of us ordered the seafood platter and it was awful. The food taste as though it was held over from the prior year, and the month is currently October. The food also taste like it came out of a box. I have never gone to a seafood restaurant and not eaten my food nor wanted to box it up and take it home to eat the next day. We literally just left full plates of food on the table. The drinks and the crab balls were good. If you do decide to go, which I don't suggest, order a drink and crab balls. The service was also good. The manager did credit my daughter's gumbo and gave us 10% off the bill. Actually he should have just charged us for our drinks and the two crab balls that you get with the seafood platter.

So I finally broke down and ate here. Got the 10pc boiled shrimp, extra spicy. They allowed me to substitute my sides for okra and coleslaw and the waitress was so very nice, big smile, regular check ins without overdoing it. Can I tell you, whatever sauce they used to spice the boiled shrimp was amazing!!!! I was in awe. It may not look fancy but I challenge it against those that are. The prices are market so may seem a bit high but let me tell you, you get what you get pay for! Damn delicious!

I live in Florida now .. but I never forgot the awesome food & fun I had here. Wish I was there now eating their awesome catfish and watching the game. This place is the BOMB.❤️💯

The fried pickles were ahhh-mazing! The baked potato and salad were great, but the bottled ranch dressing turned what could have been a 5 into a 4!
