First Tech Federal Credit Union - Federal credit union in Cupertino - 19960 Stevens Creek Blvd, USA

Last summer, I made an appointment online to meet with a banker at First Tech Credit Union (Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino). It had been a really long time since I’d gone there in person so I was surprised that everything had changed. Everything you’d expect to see, teller windows, bankers at their desks and other customers were gone. In its place was a group of small offices spanning the length of the room. The good thing was that I was greeted right away and led into an office. When I told Phi, the bank manager, how surprised I was at the changes she explained that they were still First Tech but the credit union department had been moved to another site. The current department is focused on investments but they could still help me with my credit union account. She called the proper department who authorized my withdrawal, then she printed a cashier’s check. That was a relief because the nearest branch was far away. It went smoothly and pretty quickly. By the way, you can still get cash or make deposits at the ATM machine outside. Fast forward to now. I needed help with my account again so I went online to make an in-person appointment. I also left a message for Phi, the bank manager, who helped me in 2023. She called me back the very next day. I explained what I wanted to do, so she set up a phone appointment for me with the department that handles my account. The department called me right on time and we worked out the details. Now, all I have to do is meet with Phi as the last step. Simple, easy, done.

We have been with First Tech for about 20 years. Our questions are answered quickly, any issues with improper debits/charges are addressed and investigated, and new cards issued quickly. We have several accounts with First Tech and we are happy with their service.

I have been a member of this credit union since 1979 when I started working for Hewlett Packard. This credit union always provided very friendly, courteous and professional help. Over the years they have grown a lot, yet they are able to keep to the same culture with a unique friendly atmosphere. Even my grown up children keep their accounts with them that they had as children.

Henning, is an incredible person to work with surrounding finances- knowledgeable, professional, and always holds your best interest in mind- amazing quality of service. He has been assisting me and my family for years. V/R -Remy

I've been a member here for 35+ years, going back to when it was originally the HP Employees Federal Credit Union. Ever since it's reincarnation as First Tech, their customer service has declined, the staff turnover at the branches is constant, and basic competence for routine transactions is decreasing. If you want a BofA like experience where you are just another number, this is what First Tech has morphed into.

Recently visited FTFCU cupertino regarding some work related to my loan and I had a very pleasant experience with the senior manager Phi Phan over there. She was a thorough professional, polite and handled my case very efficiently.I was in and out in like 20 mins.Thank you very much!

I'm really not reviewing this location. The folks at this location are always friendly and helpful. But I can't review the website, so I'm doing it here. The reason I can't review the website is because when I click on "Suggestions, ideas ... and comments" there is NO LINK!! That should tell you something about their current website staff. I was trying to find my tax statements. When I finally found them they were 4 clicks down an unlikely path. Then, in order to get ALL my statements, I had to ask for TWO years' worth of records. If I only asked for one year's worth of records I got the info on one CD, but not the other CD or my savings account. I'm glad I'm a techie myself, or I might have missed this detail. This programming error might cost some people tax fines.

The Cupertino team is great, they are customer-centric and go out of the way to help. I hope the other Banks follow their model to Improve Customer experiences.
