Update 9/25/23- tried to eat here again. Walked in at 5:10p. Employee asked if I was with a group and I said no, I just needed a table for one. Two more groups of people who came in after me were sat down. No acknowledgment that I was waiting, so I left. I guess this is more of a locals place? Not sure but I won’t bother going back. Tasty food and good experience all around. Service was fast. Food was fresh and had tons of flavor. It’s exactly what you want American comfort food to be. Be warned, portions are huge!
Nice little resteraunt with a big bar , I've gotten take out and I've dined in , the Philly cheesesteak was great and the steak tips were very flavorful, staff was very friendly.
Very tasty food dishes with an excellent variety of comfort food choices and excellent servers!
Food was great as always. Service was excellent too. Only ding (not a complaint - nothing they could do about it or have expected it) was an unusual lunch rush & good sized birthday party (were there a couple times a month around the same time and same day of the week & were very surprised to see it as busy as it was!) and the waitress’ were running hard. But it didn’t break their stride. They were as nice as always & the kitchen kept up well as there was no perceptible delay in how long it took to get our food after we ordered.
Order Fried Haddock according to them it was fresh. Well that fish might have been fresh 10 months ago but there is no way it was fresh when I ordered it . It was the worst fish I have ever had. McDonald's has fresher fish.
I ordered the special (fried clams). Waited over a half hour for food. The clams were HORRIBLE. There were no more than 10 on my plate and they were tough and still frozen. When I expressed my concerns, I was offered dessert. (Photo shown was the ENTIRE MEAL)
Large group went for holiday dinner. Server was quick and responsive. Food was good basic dishes...orders were mostly steak tips, haddock, and hot sandwiches. Regular and waffle Fries delish, stuffed mushrooms good (only 4 on plate though). MR steak tips were more like medium but not dry. Chk piccata and french onion soup were good.
Searched for a quick lunch stop leaving Logan airport headed to New Hampshire. Found this GEM… easy off easy on the Highway. Food was remarkable! Chowder and fried clams were fantastic! Couldn’t ask for better service…friendly, fast!!!.
I have been buying the English style pork pies here for more years than I care to admit! The chicken pies are even better! I travel over 20 miles to get here a few times a year as my family, coworkers, and friends love these pies. They also make deli
