Lovely hotel! Highly recommend! |The room was large, clean and the view was wonderful! Check-in/check-out was easy. The bed was very comfortable and the shower water pressure was fine. A few words of advice: | - If you visit in winter - turn the heater on the minute you walk into the room! The fireplace is lovely, but it does not heat the room. There is a small wall heater which works well, but it takes a while to heat the room (I fully admit to being a So Cal girl, and anything below 70 degrees is cold to me!). The room was toasty by the time I went to bed, but chilly until then.|- Take socks/slippers! The floor gets cold! - See above! Again, this So Cal girl gets cold!|- It may have been my cell phone carrier, but I had zero cell phone connectivity (if you have a hot spot that relies on cell phone connectivity, it may not work.) Fortunately, the wifi is pretty good. Cell phone coverage was spotty even in town.|- There is a mini fridge in the room, but no microwave. Plan accordingly. There is very limited food delivery in the area. If you arrive on a Friday afternoon, consider hitting up the local farmer's market for some wonderful local bread, cheese, fruit, etc. - great for late-night/early-morning munchies!||Suggestion to management - an extra blanket in the room during the winter months would be very welcome! Otherwise, you are doing a great job!
This was our first time at this location and WOW! It was gorgeous and the staff was fantastic! We had a room with a patio and a view of the ocean and it was PERFECT! I’m not sure how the price compared to other rooms, but this room was great! And as far as the beach goes, this location is perfectly situated! Seems to be in the middle of the strip, but there’s a fantastic wood boardwalk that runs the entire beach! Can’t wait to go back, 5 stars!
Clean modern hotel with great service and location. We loved the fact that the boardwalk is just right across the street. Make sure to upgrade to at least a partial ocean view with a patio. We will use this hotel again!
Beautiful location in front of Moonstone Beach. It looks like the hotel had some recent renovations, including our room. I have to say that our stay was just OK. Customer service was lacking. My daughter asked for an extra little bar of facial soap, but they said they ran out. She asked twice. That was a small disappointment. This is also the first time I was not granted a late check out upon request even though the hotel was quiet. Cleaning service and front desk service were both lackadaisical.
The Fireside Inn is my go-to getaway in Cambria, California. |I've been traveling from Santa Barbara to Cambria for several years and have stayed in very nice places. This hotel is my favorite: price, comfort, cleanliness, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating staff. |The hotel is across the street from Moonstone Beach and the most beautiful sunsets on the Central Coast. |I'm happy to sing their praises and look forward to my next visit.| Sincerely, |Eddie Tuduri
Excellent location! Right across the street from Moonstone Beach! Our ocean view room was nice, clean and cozy! The bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in a hotel. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. I would definitely stay here again!
We were absolutely thrilled with our accommodations; the rooms were notably spacious, offering a bounty of towels and complimentary coffee/tea, which we greatly appreciated. The luxury of an in-room bath and pool access was the cherry on top of our stay. Practical amenities like the dispensers for shampoo and body wash were small but significant conveniences. Stepping out to an ocean view and being right at the boardwalk's doorstep elevated our experience to spectacular. The Cow Tipper became our go-to breakfast spot within walking distance, and the proximity to Hearst Castle, just an 11-minute drive, was perfect for our sightseeing plans, with downtown’s bustling scene only 4 minutes away by car. The highlight, however, was the hotel’s concierge service; upon deciding to extend our stay, they seamlessly transitioned us to a new room at 11 am, sparing us the inconvenience of a typical check-out and later check-in process. Their flexibility and eagerness to accommodate us without the hassle of waiting added an extra layer of ease to our extended vacation. A special thanks to Maria!
Staff was kind and the location was amazing. The water pressure was horrible. At times the hot water would just stop due to lack of pressure. The bed also was very small. The staff informed me it was a motel king at check out but when I completed a survey regarding my stay the manager reached out and told me it was a regular king and all they have at the location are king and queens. I asked her if my room was a king and she said it was a traditional king. This seems impossible because I am only around 5’4” and I was taller than the bed was wider. I also sleep in a king every night and that definitely wasn’t it. The mystery bed, I guess? I got a good deal on the room because I stayed midweek but don’t know if I would stay at full price. The location was truly amazing there are a few others right next to it you might want to check out before booking.

Leffingwell Landing Park is a nice park to visit along the central coast. It is a small park but has walking trails along the shoreline, and great coastal cliff views. Well worth a pitstop if driving up Hwy 1.
This approximately 1-1.5mi boardwalk has forested views on one end and bluff views on the other, with nature doing its thing everywhere in between. We saw cotton-tail rabbits, brush bunnies, and various coastal birds and caught a squirrel chowing dow
Beautiful ocean view hiking trails in a nature preserve nestled between residential areas. Views of ocean, seals, birds. Most, if not all trails were suitable for a stroller and the shoreline trail can accommodate a wheelchair.
My husband and I had dinner at this little gem on Christmas night. They were packed, so service was naturally a bit slow, but the wait staff was friendly, genuine and clearly hustling as fast as they could. This restaurant is just what a local fine d

The experience my wife and I had here was fantastic. It was a very cute and quaint motel. I read some of the bad reviews on here and I disagree with them. You can tell that the property is maintained very well. Bathrooms, floors, towels and beds were v
This place was nice, my wife had found this place on Yelp. And while we were in town we decided to visit. We had arrived at night 9/10/23. When we arrived the place was extremely busy and we had a little bit of a wait at the door (maybe 5 minutes) af
I donât think they serve food. I had a great happy hour with some locals one day. The first time I showed up to open the bar with Ms. Aubrey. She is a stellar sister to play a game of pool with. We reminisced on years spent living in North Caro
